From the article: Tesla has announced winners of the latest round of Supercharger voting. Tesla is calling these locations the winners of Q3 2024 Supercharger voting, even though there is still a week left to go in the quarter. As best we can tell from the map, here are the other North American winners in the Q3 2024 round of voting: * Hershey, Pennsylvania * Southern Pines, North Carolina * Brent, Florida * Murfreesboro, Tennessee * Gavelston, Texas * Durango, California * Escalante, Utah * Prescott, Arizona

pizzadude111 2024-09-24 13:55

How about someone voting outside of all national parks.

Future-Back8822 2024-09-24 14:01

Definitely needs more in and around Moab, UT going to Grand Canyon

omniblastomni 2024-09-24 14:17

I was voting something similar but from the south side. Particularly around Williams, AZ. It’s quite a stretch to go from Kingman to Flagstaff.

BrianScalaweenie 2024-09-24 14:25

Ooh Galveston. Chuck tells me they have nice beaches there

sgfjb 2024-09-24 14:38

How about they actually open up the last winners? No progress on Branson, MO supercharger a year later. It’s a tourist destination that millions of people drive to and stay that need a place to quickly charge before heading home, not to mention to help close a travel gap. Very frustrating at the slow pace of progress on some of these rural gaps not getting attention.

Dr_Procrastinator 2024-09-24 14:42

I don’t think there is a Durango in California.

cgielow 2024-09-24 14:44

*Durango, Colorado

aausterm 2024-09-24 14:52

I have stayed a couple times at The Autumn Creek Branson Inn, where they have multiple free destination chargers and the room rates have been really good. Nothing fancy but a great place to stay and charge overnight.

VeryRealHuman23 2024-09-24 15:01

Lmao was not expecting that…and the dirty ass wuuuater

p3n9uins 2024-09-24 15:16

Escalante and Prescott will be awesome!

Bieb 2024-09-24 15:35

Galveston is a big win tbh. The closest supercharger is an old V2 35 min away towards Houston in a horrible location.

bam1789-2 2024-09-24 15:38

Prescott was so necessary because only having Cordes (which are constantly broken) made heading up that direction a pain.

get-a-mac 2024-09-24 15:41

Prescott, Arizona! This is a major one for us and now I’ll feel much safer taking the Tesla up there. Sure there’s a few destination chargers but the hotel we stay at is very historic.

UB_cse 2024-09-24 15:57

This contest is pretty much a sham right?

KNlCKS 2024-09-24 15:58

Prob talking about Colorado, Durango has a bunch of chargepoints and one destination charger there

Howry 2024-09-24 16:04

They need to break the voting down into regions better. USA, East Coast, Central, West Coast. Same with Canada. Not just use North America.

Astroteuthis 2024-09-24 16:10

Some of those might have some pretty big infrastructure challenges, but it would be really nice.

[deleted] 2024-09-24 16:16

Not like it was ever nice but Galveston is still recovering from the oil spill in 2011/2012. It will never fully recover.

shagberg 2024-09-24 16:18

Completely agree! I had to drive a gas powered car to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon because of this.

Miami_da_U 2024-09-24 16:21

You expect them to go from picking a general city location, to open for business within 3 months, with all the regulation and utility work they have to do? Seems unrealistic.

popornrm 2024-09-24 16:21

Tbh they need to put superchargers up in pretty much all the top 50-100 locations and really start building it out more, even if there’s redundancy in places like NYC where lines are routinely 2+ hours long. Superchargers are opening up to pretty much every major manufacturer now and the current system is going to work for nobody at this point. Even with Tesla only, a lot of major supercharger locations get overwhelmed

sgfjb 2024-09-24 16:58

It’s been a year since that location was picked as a winner. That seems more than reasonable to expect it to be open by now imo.

Future-Back8822 2024-09-24 17:06

ICE and hybrids were doing 65mph+, while we had to do 45mph and draft behind RVs as much as possible, and barely made it from Moab to Page (had to turn back to Moab on the first attempt). We just gave up on going to the Grand Canyon and went to Vegas from Page.

catsRawesome123 2024-09-24 17:09

you forget they laid off their entire supercharger team

Clydefrog57 2024-09-24 17:34

Nice women too 😂

Cleanngreenn 2024-09-24 17:35

One of the past winners in Morro Bay still hasn’t opened and I went to the city to try to figure ut out and it was due to the property being overlapped by two other properties which haven’t agreed yet.

cryptoengineer 2024-09-24 17:36

If you look at the 'changes' chart on supercharge.info, over 100 new proposed location have dropped in the last couple of weeks. This is far more than I've seen over the past several years.

krische 2024-09-24 17:43

I just assumed they abandoned the whole super charger voting thing. I'm surprised to see them finally close it and actually say something about it.

Tricky-Mood904 2024-09-24 17:48

We need more from Colorado to Texas, the only super charger in That stretch of NM has been down …. It’s a 260 mile stretch

Fancy_Load5502 2024-09-24 17:55

Like Yellowstone. That place is HUGE, and there are no superchargers near it.

Miami_da_U 2024-09-24 18:06

There are many locations that have been in the works much longer than that. A) they obviously would have a slow down after they conducted layoffs. B) there are many regulatory hurdles to clear for these, some cities operate much quicker. Some cities have much more technological hurdles to overcome. To me this vote is customers telling Tesla where stations are needed and Tesla telling customers they will try to target those locations. It isn’t some guarantee something will happen immediately

curiouscrusher 2024-09-24 18:07

Interesting that Brent FL (located within Pensacola FL) is on that list, [according to PlugShare](https://www.plugshare.com/location/643092) the Superchargers at University Mall are installed and pending activation.

SeitanicDoog 2024-09-24 18:10

I don't believe these anymore. Last week they removed Pullman, WA supercharger from their plans after it won last Fall.

Ernapistapo 2024-09-24 18:34

There’s a supercharger in West Yellowstone. I charge to 100% and can drive around the entire park. There’s also one in Jackson, WY. So you can travel from West Yellowstone to the Grand Tetons. It would be nice to have more chargers at the north and east entrances.

slykethephoxenix 2024-09-24 18:49

I did the North Rim in my Model 3. You can charge in Page.

shagberg 2024-09-24 19:05

True, but a long ways out of the way if you are coming from the north and the Salt Lake area

GoSh4rks 2024-09-24 19:06

Kayenta just opened. Only took 9 years.

themadruski 2024-09-24 19:07

there needs to be more attention to locations that have a large Uber/Lyft economy using teslas, they charge multiple times a day and create large lines for regular urban users.

slykethephoxenix 2024-09-24 19:29

That's true. I came from Monument Valley direction, so Page wasn't too far out of the way.

alex734 2024-09-24 19:36

Can’t wait for this one to open. I was happy to see they finally have a public ChargePoint in town.

man2112 2024-09-24 19:36

Please for the love of god put all future superchargers at gas stations. I'm so tired of superchargers that are in restaurant or hotel parking lots that refuse to let you use the bathroom, are closed, etc.

cypressaggie 2024-09-24 19:41

Nothing to do with an oil spill. Water color is primarily because of the current pulling the silt from the mighty Mississippi. We do get a few blue water days per year - so there’s that.

nobody-u-heard-of 2024-09-24 19:47

Yeah I used to have to charge there at I-10 and the exit for Prescott. Which really wasn't especially practical if I wanted to spend any time driving around up there.

stanley_fatmax 2024-09-24 19:57

Done Yellowstone multiple times in an S, no issues with the supercharger access near the park

Fancy_Load5502 2024-09-24 19:57

Fudge. The map does not show it unless you really zoom in. I was just up there and didn't trust going from Idaho Falls to the park and back, so I went gasoline. Thank you.

dudeitsadell 2024-09-24 20:06

https://www.tesla.com/findus/location/supercharger/westyellowstonesupercharger

Joshgt2 2024-09-24 20:08

The Hershey, PA location is interesting... Harrisburg has an older location right off I-83 which is 150kw max, then about 5 miles away they put in 12 V4 stalls in with MagicDock along I-81 AND another 12 V4 stalls with MagicDock the opposite direction another 5 miles away... Another 5 miles and you'll be inside of the Hershey annex. I get there's a lot of money in Hershey and Hersheypark is a large attraction for the state, but was not expecting this region to have this many Supercharger locations.

Fancy_Load5502 2024-09-24 20:08

I replied to another poster - it is weird in that when you first look at the city there are only destination chargers showing, I had to zoom in a ton to find the supercharger.

psychoacer 2024-09-24 20:16

They really need to put more in the Chicagoland area especially after that mess that happened last year

BodaciousGuy 2024-09-24 20:22

Cool! I voted for Hershey! There are a lot of chargers on the PA turnpike but nothing in Hershey .

Future-Back8822 2024-09-24 20:30

Not to mention Page, AZ is also just a V2 AND could get crowded real quick AND is far from food/stores other than the hotel it's located by/on.

[deleted] 2024-09-24 20:43

True on the silt. I was primarily speaking not only of the water color but also the foul smell and dirty sand. I remember going to Galveston pre-spill and it was much nicer. I’m not sure if it’s my rose tinted nostalgia glasses or what but as a child I certainly appreciated the beauty of Galveston more than I do today.

Lordeisenfaust 2024-09-24 20:49

Why should a gas station sell their land to Tesla? That makes no sense at all.

man2112 2024-09-24 20:54

Why would they sell? They just need to lease property to Tesla

Lordeisenfaust 2024-09-24 20:59

Yeah but why should they. They rob themself the chance to get a own charging network running and getting their own revenue. Here in Germany, all the big gas stations companies like Aral (BP), Shell and Esso (Exxon Mobile) have their own chargers at their gas station. It is foolish to sell/lease to Tesla. Get your own revenue coming.

man2112 2024-09-24 21:00

Not a single gas station in the us (that I’ve seen) has their own chargers. Only Tesla chargers, and that’s only at some stations. The us is an entirely different market than Europe. When you’re doing a 1,200 mile road trip (which is common in the US) and need to charge often, it needs to be at a gas station.

Cleanngreenn 2024-09-24 21:05

I can’t believe that Los Osos is going to open the chargers before Morro bay

joggle1 2024-09-24 21:11

You should try using [supercharge.info](https://supercharge.info/map) -- it's a crowd-sourced website with the most current Tesla Supercharger site status (including info on future sites and ones that are under construction).

SultanOfSwave 2024-09-24 22:31

What? There's two Supercharger stations in Moab and one in Green River.

tesla_dpd 2024-09-24 22:31

I voted. All my locations lost. Not surprised at all.

dcdttu 2024-09-24 22:41

I just want them to build the ones on routes that I frequent that they've promised for years now. I've been waiting for one to be built in the middle of nowhere in Texas for years, and it's still in permit phase.

popornrm 2024-09-24 23:18

According to the terms, Uber/lyft/taxis/limos are not allowed to use superchargers during times they are working. Only once they clock out for the day and before they start their first shift/ride for the day. Taxis and limos are supposed to build their own private superchargers but since they haven’t enforced the rule of no charging yet, they just use public ones. I think any vehicle that is registered for taxis/uber use should be blocked from public superchargers outside of certain hours. Easy to do with vehicle serial numbers and ID’s and private chargers already do this. They should have to build out their own private superchargers

SLC-801 2024-09-25 00:00

Also these! Just opened this summer https://www.rockymountainpower.net/about/newsroom/news-releases/moab-electric-vehicle-charging-station.html

[deleted] 2024-09-25 02:11

I just saw a V4 charger going up near baldwin park. Randooooom location but cant wait to plug in and get the exact same speeds LOL

TiredMillennialDad 2024-09-25 02:18

I also don't think there's a Brent in Florida

[deleted] 2024-09-25 02:48

What about Pilot Flying J, Circle K, etc?

GlennBB 2024-09-25 03:28

They should put one on Chief Yellow horse's place. Bring some good business and give people a place to rest and view the sights.

Dos-Commas 2024-09-25 03:50

You mean the Rudy's one on 45?

shibiwan 2024-09-25 04:32

Prescott is definitely needed, but I do agree that there should be one better Kingman and Flagstaff.

Bieb 2024-09-25 04:59

Yup

iTurkie 2024-09-25 05:39

And stalls in Kingman are not enough specially during holidays.

VideoGameJumanji 2024-09-25 14:46

Congratulations to all zero employees in charge of getting these set up

VideoGameJumanji 2024-09-25 14:47

I mean, do they even have anyone even looking at this anymore?

Ok_Giraffe8865 2024-09-25 15:11

Really, a supercharger? I hope.

blumhagen 2024-09-25 15:35

Durango finally gets a supercharger.

tedjerome 2024-09-25 17:29

In a Long Range, I presume, not Standard Range?

VTCCway 2024-09-25 18:24

Southern Pines NC where??

Robbbbbbbbb 2024-09-25 19:40

We do have two nearby in Harrisburg (one in Union Deposit, the other is new at the Shoppes of Susquehanna). Both are within 15 minutes - but Hershey is a big tourist town, so I'm surprised they don't have one yet haha I'm all for more chargers!

brdndcargo5 2024-09-25 22:35

Yay! I voted for Southern Pines! Lots of golf tourism and much needed here.

[deleted] 2024-09-25 23:40

They use just NA? So everyone except the USA just gets bent, and then only the coastal USA gets anything from there

Both-Move-8103 2024-09-26 00:24

Wow, cant believe Prescott didn't have one and flagstaff has several. Good to know, was planning a trip soon.

Howry 2024-09-26 01:53

I am not even sure what you are trying to say?

salmon_burrito 2024-09-26 17:39

They should add supercharger in Kanab,UT. That will work good for both North rim and Zion NP.

Lindberg47 2024-09-26 18:25

And in Europe?

Busy-Ad-4188 2024-09-26 20:20

Nice. Pinehurst. That’s a charging desert. Glad to see installation there with all the golf courses and constant visitors.

Ernapistapo 2024-09-27 01:43

Long Range, though you could probably do it in a standard range vehicle as well. You may need to do just one of the loops in the figure 8 and then return to West Yellowstone to charge more. There is also a CCS charger at the northern entrance. Could use a CCS adapter to top off there.

KaosThaOne_99 2024-09-27 01:50

There's another one that's almost finished at the Starbuck on Grayson Rd in Harrisburg. That's about 10 mins from Hershey.

Rhinous 2024-09-27 03:52

What’s foolish is giving oil companies control over your electric charging prices. This is the dumbest thing Europe has done with their charging network. Oil companies are the COMPETITION. Now your oil overlords are also your electric overlords. They have a vested interest in price gouging everyone leaving oil and switching to electricity. Pathetic.

tedjerome 2024-09-27 12:47

Thanks! I’m taking my M3SR+ LFP on a long tour of the U.S. shortly, and plan to visit both entrances when I’m in the area for each, separated by a few weeks.

[deleted] 2024-09-28 06:50

In Texas, least where I am at, Shell is starting to put their own chargers on their properties. Also I know Pilot and Flying J are putting chargers in. Buc’ees which is a major gas station chain in Texas and which is expanding in other states has been leasing out their property spaces to different charges, Tesla and Mercedes Benz being at least 2 of them that I am aware of.

[deleted] 2024-10-03 02:09

Voting is now available for Death Valley National park! Specifically near the Furnace Creek visitor center

Desperate-Leg-9012 2025-01-23 20:30

Kanab won the Q3 2023 vote - originally website said 2025 delivery but don't see that anymore :( [https://www.tesla.com/findus?bounds=37.043696050004804%2C-112.51927628570557%2C37.042797947339004%2C-112.52159371429444&location=413953&functionType=winner\_supercharger](https://www.tesla.com/findus?bounds=37.043696050004804%2C-112.51927628570557%2C37.042797947339004%2C-112.52159371429444&location=413953&functionType=winner_supercharger)
