According to TechGeek Tesla's recent review on Youtube, ASS is not ready for a wider release. His testing was thorough and methodical. I believe him and don't want ASS until it's ready.

got my ass delivered to my y an hour ago

I was summoning my «European» 2019 model 3 today and the app said «Actual Smart Summon not available something something» for a brief second. Not sure if that is an app bug, or if they actually intend to ship that outside of the US before Supervised FSD.

old vehicles still have the ultrasonic sensors so if you have FSD or Enhanced Autopilot you have old summon I had that on my 2020 Model y but traded in last weekend for a 2024 no old summon for HW4 vehicles.

It hasn't been available in NA very often seems like it pops up from time to time when Tesla needs to make a few bucks is all. Its all they have in the rest of the world though no FSD for them yet.

Is it required that you were already subscribed to FSD for this update to show? I would like to try 12.5.x and ASS.. but refused to pay $99 unless I’m absolutely guaranteed to get it. Right now I’ve been stuck on 12.3.6 since around May

I would wait then I have had FSD for about a year and transferred it to my new 2024 MY I haven't got it yet so I would say its not a guarantee at all.

I believe a big spinning wheel is involved. Similar to the one I lose money on when I go to Vegas.

Not necessarily, my wife’s 2021 Y has had 12.4.3 for quite a while. The no wheel nag is great but 12.4.3 was kinda like a slightly more jittery 12.3.6 with no other obvious improvements. I’m hopeful that 12.5.4 shows some of the overall improvements folks with HW4 have been describing for us lowly HW3 folks.

Maybe I'll get it later tonight or tomorrow because FSD [12.5.2.1](http://12.5.2.1) has its quirks that FSD 12.4.3 was better for me.

My experience was that 12.4.3 > [12.5.2.1](http://12.5.2.1) > 12.3.6. [12.5.2.1](http://12.5.2.1) was obviously jittery to me. 12.4.3 was not and drove me around nicely when activated.

Saw this post and decided to walk out and click software, started downloading immediately. Finally getting off 12.3.6, the day after my FSD expired lol.

What model / year? 12.5.2.1 sucks balls on my 2017 S with HW3 and is so much worse than 12.3.6 was on this car.

I got it but I can’t figure out how to do it. I was in a Home Depot parking lot but the app just says “not available on public roads”

Is there a guide to their versioning numbers? My app says I’m on 2024.32.3 … which I would normally say is 5 versions ahead of 2024.27.x … but since I don’t have the new smart summon, “ahead” doesn’t feel right. Is it just that FSD and Non-FSD setups are on different branches or am I missing something else?

Got it last night. 2024 M3 LR AWD! It works really well! Tested it on semi busy parking lots and it was very smooth.

I’m getting 12.5.2.1 pushed to the 2021 Y with HW3 right now, but wondering if I ought to forgo installing it and instead wait for 12.5.4 that appears to be “close.”

This new version is even worse about missing turns and highway ramps. There's some kind of disconnect between the FSD computer and the navigation. FSD doesn't seem to be receiving any information about an upcoming turn until exactly 0.2 miles from the turn. It could be 3 lanes over by the time it realizes it's in the wrong lane.

I received it yesterday! 2023 Model Y HW3, was stuck on 12.4.2 for seemingly months and then received two updates in two days that brought me to 12.5.4.

Got 12.5.2.1 on Monday then 12.5.4 the next day! Love the rapid updates.

Just got it on my Model 3. FSD 12.5.4. First time I’ve noticed a regression over the previous version, 12.5.2, which was almost perfect. Seems to slow down at green lights for some reason. Will need to test some more

What is your issue with the highway? I'd say FSD for me is 95% or better on the highway as long as I don't get the dreaded camera being blinded by the sun issue.

Well there have been about 2000 installs for people on the Teslifi Database in the past few days which is the most of any update so I would say so I still dont have it either but lots of people do.

If you're on FSD 12.4.3, you're not missing much from FSD 12.5.x. I came from FSD 12.4.3 to FSD [12.5.2.1](http://12.5.2.1) and I see issues with it (hard brakes, jitteries) where it wasn't present for FSD 12.4.3. Now if you wanted some ASS, yeah, FSD 12.5.4 is the one to want.

My car is a 2022 M3 LR with 12.5.4. In the [12.5.2.1](http://12.5.2.1) release I could never run on Auto Speed Control because of the moderately curved Highways and roads in Oregon. With this new release I mostly run on Auto but with an important caveat - since this release maintains the car's position closer to the center line, I find that on relatively sharp curves it tends to cross the double line, slightly, resulting in an intervention. My biggest complaint is that this release does not drive the car in the center of the road. On Oregon Highways, I find that "some drivers" tend to cross the centerline. As a result, the danger is sometimes too fast for me to react but so far the car has reacted automatically to avoid a collision. Still, I drive with both hands on the wheel on Oregon roads!

on the Highway nothing has changed it is still on the V11 Highway stack so nothing really should have changed. End to end on highway is suppose to be coming by the end of the month but good luck on that.

Yes, I have read the same. However, my wife and I are both alarmed at how car position has changed with this release ( I hear a lot more complaining. ). Just to be clear, this observation is not regarding freeways but highways and roads. And it is resulting in interventions on sharp curves.
