Cybertruck was the only tesla I have driven that was hard to park. Finally!

Why was it hard to park? Visibility and cameras give great awareness.

Pulling into a parking spot is easy. Backing in before park assist was a little difficult as I was always a little crooked. Not really hard but like to be straight in between the lines.

Awesome!

Rear wheel steering makes the effective wheelbase shorter than you expect it to be, so it is really easy to start turning too early

Exactly. You notice it on parallel parking too, where the pivot axis is significantly farther forward than you’re used to

Turbulent-Abroad7841 2024-09-09 23:03

Yeah backing in was more difficult.

Why is this different technologically from their other cars? Like why are they on different timelines when fundamentally it’s “put this object in that space using these cameras/sensors” ?

Because the Cybertruck is steer by wire, while also being four wheel steer. These are two things that Autopilot & FSD has never worked on before.

Did the update overnight last night but haven’t tried it just yet. Excited to though!
