Re-attaching side mirror to base/arm - DIY question

Was backing out of a tight spot and driver side mirror was completely bent backwards by a pillar. I folded it back in place, but unfortunately it’s not attached to the base (extension from the car) properly anymore and the motor doesn’t work to fold it in. It will still fold out on it’s own, but gets stuck and makes noise when attempting to fold it back in using the car command. Since the mirror and pieces are still fine, I’d really prefer to fix this myself. Anyone have experience reattaching the mirror the base/arm? In the photo you can see how it’s not sitting properly on the base and is loose. Would appreciate any insight in how to best re-attach it to the base.
