I believe Tesla insurance specifically stated that hail damage was not covered.

I saw this hail live when they were reporting it on AccuWeather, the hail was humongous, apple sized.

Hail is the worst. I had a 23 Camry that got absolutely wrecked in Colorado. 13k in damage. I fucking wince at the thought of the price tag for my M3P

My state it’s treated as a non fault comprehensive claim. Rates didn’t go up when my Camry got 13k in damage two years ago. I wince at the thought of the price tag on my 23 M3P

We got back from Kankakee day before. In laws called us today and told us about the hail there. My Tesla was parked outside. Absolutely crazy seeing this photo being posted here.

Wait, really? I had a hail claim three years ago and they covered it no problem. Granted, mine didn’t look like it was shot up by a machine gun but it did have dents all over.

Well I can tell you Tesla Insurance didn’t pull that religious sounding bs on me. They covered it under comprehensive coverage.

My hail damage in April 2025 was covered under my Tesla insurance. Had to get a new, rear window and hood. They also had to repaint my car twice as they didn’t blend the older parts to match the new ones. They even delivered a loaner and picked up my model Y on a flat bed for the 2nd round of painting. All covered.
