Then why didn’t you…

They are $20 at Amazon. Different prices from different stores.

Loan-Pickle 2026-03-05 23:37

I just bought my sensors from Tesla and had Discount Tire install them.

President_Connor_Roy 2026-03-05 23:43

They used to be $95 each from Tesla until somewhat recently I believe. That’s what I paid for them anyway a few years ago.

dextroz 2026-03-06 00:01

I did the same thing? That is a huge difference in price!

dextroz 2026-03-06 00:02

I think Costco charges about $300 for installing all four tire sensors with a list price of about $50 per sensor.

melvladimir 2026-03-06 00:26

Good one is $40+. Also there are pre-restyled (cheaper) and restyled (Bluetooth)

rsg1234 2026-03-06 00:42

FYI a few of their America’s Tire locations do alignments and they are also more expensive than Tesla.

Accomplished_Flow504 2026-03-06 00:57

I take the blame I thought the price was $95 for 2 .. Wasn’t paying attention

bVrgerboss 2026-03-06 01:04

respect for admitting that ✌️

Geeky_1 2026-03-06 01:08

When did Tesla lower to $60? I paid about $400 for 4 altogether over a year ago.

Mud_BooDa 2026-03-06 02:37

They sell the euro oem’s on Amazon , set of 4 for $107ish - my car registered them almost instantly

idkwhyihateyoubutido 2026-03-06 04:34

I took a risk and I got 4 on Amazon for $90. They registered just fine and work as good as OEM so far. Discount Tire installed no problem.

feinburgrl 2026-03-06 05:09

How much does it cost to install it from discount tires? One of mine doesn't work and Tesla wants $163 to do one. Little over price.

chchchch71102 2026-03-06 05:40

Considering they told me yesterday I need 4 and it will be $776, I thank you very much.

Loud-Way3333 2026-03-06 06:04

what's the installation fee for the sensor?

idkwhyihateyoubutido 2026-03-06 06:04

I was getting new tires there, so there was no charge for tpms install.

Loud-Way3333 2026-03-06 06:06

good to know! how long does your original tpms last?

idkwhyihateyoubutido 2026-03-06 06:15

Google says something like 5-10 years. My OEM sensors were fine. I just kept them with the stock wheels, and had aftermarket wheels and new tires installed.

Loan-Pickle 2026-03-06 15:02

I had it done at the same time I bought tires, so it was included in the $25 mount and balance.

Sad_Principle_2531 2026-03-06 15:28

Just had one replaced yesterday. It was $60 CDN.

VegarHenriksen 2026-03-06 15:30

holy moly

anangrytaco 2026-03-06 15:34

My local mom and pop shop charged me $100 parts and labor per wheel. So this doesn't seem crazy

UTBrown 2026-03-06 16:44

I brought up the cost of OEM sensors on Amazon and negotiated Discount Tire down to $60 installed each for 4x, $240 total. If you don’t ask for it, you’ll never get it.

DaSandman78 2026-03-06 17:54

I assume you have an older car out of warranty? I've had TMPS sensors die twice on my 2023 Tesla and both times Tesla service center replaced for free as part of warranty (the 2nd time they actually replaced the whole tire as they noticed an issue with the foam when they were swapping out the TPMS)

pinchy74 2026-03-06 18:05

At Tesla?

Sad_Principle_2531 2026-03-06 19:28

A local tire shop.

XxWaifuMaterialxX 2026-03-06 20:57

If you pay for the ESA subscription you are only out the $100 deductible and they will replace every faulty sensor. Had this done for 3 that malfunctioned and all were replaced and installed for $100
