Extend warranty

I’m curious, how many of you have purchased an extended warranty from Tesla? My 2023 Model 3 will hit 50,000 miles in the next couple of weeks.

I did. Didn't even hesitate when I was close to 50,000

What? Why am I paying $60 per month?

Maybe that’s the model Y pricing

Doesn’t EW only cover cheap repairs? I thought it doesn’t cover the big ones (suspension, etc.).

There is this other one available based on mileage / 2 years https://preview.redd.it/6lqqujru9bng1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1686d8da6dc454d0fbb2a8f80e4d62b4a9dd353e

I didn’t plan on it but I’ve gone to the service center a bunch lately and one of the advisors told me a great tip: sign up for it before your warranty ends and then since it’s monthly it’ll kick in and you’ll have it and can then decide when to stop it. I’ve had 2 cameras replaced, touchscreen replaced, glovebox replaced, cameras cleaned, door handle replaced, seat controls replaced, and the AC fixed a handful of times, and also after maybe 3 appointments was able to get them to fix the rattle on my steering wheel. So I think it’s worth it to extend maybe until I’m confident it doesn’t need anything else and I’ll cancel.

I was thinking that the car doesn’t seem to have these many problems. 😂 I might have driven too many miles on my Toyota.

Yeah haha our other car is a Corolla so I know exactly what you mean
