As someone with a 2017 MX with white seats...
Don't worry about it.
If/when they ever look dirty, give them a gentle wipe with a moist cloth at most.
Done deal. Good as new. Easy as that! Best seats I've ever owned.

Wearing blue jeans a lot can stain them, but they generally shrug off stains.
We were hesitant with our lifestyle but wanted them. No regrets, they were absolutely a good choice.
I have a lot of criticisms about FSD, the camera sensors, Tesla service, having to pay a subscription for traffic nav etc.
But the white seats are amazing and hold up.

2022 MY The white seats hardly get dirty and a damp cloth usually takes them back to beautiful! add a little soap if extra dirty.

Got my MYLR with white seats in 2021. Like you, I was worry about them so put protection on them, but haven’t done anything to them since. Still looks good. Just the normal wear. Don’t worry. Just enjoy.
At end of this month, going to switch out to new 2026 Y Premium AWD and don’t plan to do any.

They won’t get damaged any easier than any other upholstery.
As far as getting dirty, they, too won’t get dirtier any easier than any other upholstery. The difference is that any dirt/debris will be far more visible on them.
But the best solution is to clean them. I do mine about every two months. Sometimes more often if needed. A basic leather/plastic cleaner (I like HydroSilex) is good. So, yeah, clean up any spills or messes quickly before they sit and become a problem.

If you really care about your car and want to take it to the next level, I suggest getting Gyeon Q2 leather coat.
Apply it to all seats every 3 months. I like to do the driver seat every month.
Makes the seat soft, moisturized, and it acts as a ceramic coat for your seats.
Had the car for 4 years and it looks and feels new

If the seats are not perforated I wouldn’t worry.
I saw a picture of a perforated seat after spilled milkshake or yogurt - that’s my only “fear” now.

I have had no problems wit the white seats any more than I did with the grey leather seats I had in previous cars. If I wear dark pants there is sometimes dye transfer but I wipe it up right away. My grey leather wound up with permanent jeans marks because I wasn't as careful.
However, with an 11mo, I would get a seat cover for the back. I had one when my kid was little and it was the best investment ever. When I sold the car and pulled out the car seat there was so much dirt and crumbs and icky stuff under there. I just threw out the seat cover and my back seat was like new.

Slightly off topic but
>"I have a lot of criticisms about FSD, the camera sensors, Tesla service, *having to pay a subscription for traffic nav* etc."
The subscription coves a lot of connected services and connectivity, and it's only $9.99/mo.
My previous car was a Toyota Rav4 Prime for which they charged $16/mo for basic app access and crappy navigation. And the app access and features never worked. I mean, literally, in the three years I had the car I was never able to get the cabin pre-warm/pre-cool to work. I stopped paying it after finally realizing that I was paying $16/mo for the privilege of seeing my charging status remotely. The nav sucked and I always used Waze.
The features I get from Tesla for $10/mo are infinitely better than what other cars charge for much fewer and crappier services.

Seat covers? Tesery makes some that look OEM. I had a hard time deciding between black and white interiors and ultimately went with black, thinking that if I really wanted white, I could always get seat covers and end up with white seats, plus protecting my stock seats.

Really? The only additional feature I get for the $15/month subscription is the ability for my nav system to work as well as Google maps does for free. That's it.
I already pay for an expensive phone plan that I would happily use to hotspot my phone and connect the car on wifi. But they've crippled it so it won't send traffic data if you connect via a hotspot - only "premium connectivity" allows that.
And of course, they don't let you use Google or apple maps on the Tesla screen.
So yeah. You literally can't use basic traffic-aware navigation without a subscription, something that 20 year old cars have built-in, that I got for free with a phone mount on my 25 year old cargo van.
And what's worse is even premium connectivity is a slow connection that limits the amount you can even watch your cars cameras remotely.
If it were just me, I'd put my phone on a screen mount and ignore Tesla's built-in nav. But my wife would not be happy with that, so I pay because buying an expensive car but then having your wife have to use hacky workarounds and be disappointed with it is not a good choice.

$15/mo? Are you talking about Toyota or Tesla? Tesla's is $10/mo.
You get in-car streaming of things like Netflix, Hulu, Spotify and several other music apps (assuming you subscribe to those services), anything you can access through its web browser, real-time traffic and routing, plus all of the features you can control through the app.
Compared to what other companies charge for their connectivity services which are often separated out, for example Toyota charges more if you want actual internet access, $10/mo is nothing.
Not to mention, I don't think FSD will work as well without the built-in nav having access to real-time traffic. I could be wrong about that though.

They really aren't stain prone and hold up incredibly well. Keep some baby wipes under your seat to wipe up any messes and you have nothing to worry about
