Could it be a light bypass to go dark when street racing or something? I don't know how a Tesla would handle it if its lights went dark though.

After using ChatGPT and doing a little bit of research I can tell that the buttons, particularly the red one, you are seeing and referring to are in fact used for the disconnection of the seat screws(L1 and L4) from the base of the floor in said car while simultaneously creating an opening through your glass roof. In theory, this allows you to shout ejecto seato cuz.
Moonraker 6 laser safety & trigger buttons.
Bass control knob and/or possibly aftermarket lights. (I have a bass knob control in the exact same spot).
Any chance the car was owned in or near Virginia? Could be a shut off switch for a built in radar detector. I knew folks that had similar in non-teslas to turn the detector off when there weren’t enough other cars around because VA police have radar detector detectors.

It's not factory so unfortunately, and those could be wired to just about anything so the only people in the world who could tell you what those buttons do would be the previous owner and the person who installed them. It's quite possible that those 2 people are actually just one person but unless they are here in the comments, you're SOL. You can: A. Press it to find out B. Ignore it for life C. Start disassembling the car to trace the wires D. Contact the previous owner

A pretty big guess but judging by it's install location, a police laser radar on/off button and noise volume nob. You want to turn it off super fast if it triggers or they know and hit you with a ticket. If they catch you using one it's gonna be rough. Doubt it's still wired up, no shot they sold it still installed.
