Took my highland model 3 in for service and left with a HW3 Plaid. Crazy! Never felt a launch like that. Sad to see this work of art get discontinued…

I remember getting an older Model 3 once as a loaner and thinking how much more I liked the real leather seats in there. I imagine there's a lot more of those moments in a Model S.
Model 3 was synthetic leather from the start. Only the steering wheel was originally real leather but they’ve since changed that, too
Well that is great news, because it must mean that the seats get comfortable the more worn in they are! Guess I have something to look forward to in a few years!

Nuh uh. Model S feels like a boat. I love how comfy, planted and fast it is, but it’s not nimble like the Model 3.
Turn on Track Mode and you may change your mind. Car is transformed!
Track mode doesnt get rid of 1000lbs of weight. My Plaid is a boat compared to my old 3P. A very fast boat but a 3P would wipe the floor with it in autocross
I like the air suspension when I got one as a loaner. Too bad they lock the speed.
Have you tried Track Mode on the S? Also I wouldn’t autocross an S or 3. The 3 is around this 4000lbs!
The 3 will feel slow now.

It’s 4000lbs. I wouldn’t autocross either car but I have owned both and wouldn’t go back to a 3. To each, obviously. Just picked up my (latest) 2026 S Plaid a few weeks ago.

When I got the loaner car they limit my speed to 80, very much disappointed ☹️
