Quick questions for anyone who’s done this: • If I extend for 6 months, can I return the car early or trade into a new Tesla before the extension ends? • If I pay for registration during the extension and then return the car early, what happens to that cost? If you extend your lease, you are agreeing to 6 more months. No early give backs…ever. As for registration, you need to consult your state DMV. Most will refund it within a certain period of time but it’s best to ask first.

DMV varies state by state, typically there are no registration refunds but you’ll get a credit for the unused portion. I didn’t know there was a way to extend the Tesla lease, I’ll probably have a lot of unused miles and depending on this CT delivery date nonsense an extension may be perfect.
