Tesla level 2 extension + j1772 adapter

primeanesthesia | 2026-02-28 20:41 | 10 views

Purchased a Rivian as well, and want to experiment using my Tesla level 2 wall charger before deciding if I want a second charging unit. However the way my driveway and car situation stands, I need both an extension of about 8-10 feet and obviously an adapter for J1772. Has anyone seen an extension that has the built in adapter on the other end as one unit? Otherwise would anyone see any issues or decreased efficiency/increased overheating by plugging in both an extension and a separate adapter? Thanks

I just bought an evdance NACS extension for my 2020 MYLR. The extension actually heats up a bit less than the cable from the Tesla wall connector. It’s all set to 48 amps so I expected a little heating. Very impressed.
