Anyone has successfully solved phone key disconnect issues?

Hey everyone, I’m reaching my wit's end with the Phone Key on my 2022 Model Y Performance. It’s been incredibly unreliable lately, and I’m constantly having to pull out my key card. The Setup: • Phone: iPhone 16 Pro (Running latest iOS) • Car: 2022 MYP (Running latest 2026.x firmware) • Tesla App: Latest version What I’ve already tried (so you don't have to suggest it!): 1. Toggled Bluetooth on/off. 2. Force closed and reopened the Tesla App. 3. Deleted the phone as a key from the car AND "forgot" the car from the phone's Bluetooth settings, then re-paired. 4. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Tesla App. 5. Hard rebooted the phone and the Tesla (dual scroll wheel). 6. Location services are set to "Always" and Background App Refresh is ON. Even after all this, the car often won't recognize the phone until I physically unlock the phone or open the app, and sometimes not even then. Has anyone found a "weird" fix? Is there a specific iOS setting (like Private Wi-Fi Address or some focus mode) that’s known to mess with the handshake? Or is this just a known bug with the phone and the current Tesla software? Any help is appreciated!

This may sound random but do you have Phone Link on Windows set up? I was getting constant problems with Tesla connections until I removed it.

Interesting. I don’t have that setup so I think this might not be the issue. Appreciate the input tho

It happens quite often but here and there, till I walk to my car and reprogram

Holding my phone near the door pillar is the only thing that’s been working for me lately too. Looks like I need to go back to the keyfob. The phone key issues are getting annoying.

I was told by a mobile service tech that they updated something on the back end when a newer software update came that screwed with the phone key.. not much we can do besides what you already tried

Thanks for the update. I guess the only thing we can do is to wait for another software update :(

I think he was joking when he said the newer models have UWB to try and convince me to upgrade to the new model y lol
