HW3 is pretty bad. I’m not sure why Tesla owners are so oblivious to criticism and the short comings of Teslas softwares. HW3 is miles behind HW4. My HW3 MY stutters when turning or waits extremely long to turn. Annoying.
Same, sometimes im sitting there and im like god go and i gotta take control to go myself fast enough to pass a light or whatever the situation may be. Hw3 should be 50$/month for fsd low key cause its like such a pussy sometimes and can't make a fast decision and just hesitates and waits forever sometimes regardless on chill standard or rush mode

HW3 leaves a lot to be desired. I have to feather the pedal 80% of the time.
My Model 3 with HW3 doesn't behave that way, and it's pretty good nearly all of the time. I don't prefer some of its route choices, but that's a separate issue.
This is not hard to believe at all. I'm guessing you've never used HW3?
+1 i have both perma fsd hw3 and subbed hw4 cars; hw3 let me down yesterday making a left with a car incoming and decided to just stop for a tbone after it went 50%, took over quickly. It’s just more indecisive and tends to half commit. Hw4 has been nearly flawless and routinely handles situations i dont think it can. It’s screw ups are more annoying than critical
It didn't turn around because of the truck, it probably thought the trailer was blocking the road. The truck was too far back when it stopped and the brief moment it could have seen it, there's no way to tell it could have been an obstruction let alone why would it think it is an obstruction vs vehicle traffic? The truck isn't on the map either. Also why wouldn't it pull to the side if it thought both cars couldn't fit vs changing its entire route?

If you believe that that robot saw that truck then I got some oceanfront property in Arizona for sale. The robot saw the trailer before the road curves and assumed that the road was blocked when in all actuality it wasn’t so it took the passenger well out of the way to get home.
Waymo costs 4x more for the same service. (And it's ugly.)
If it’s that short sighted then how would it work on the highway? They have an extensive field of view for several hundred feet.

It's not short-sighted. But there's a big difference between driving straight on a highway and driving on a curvy city road with vehicles on both sides. There is literally cars in the way blocking the view of the truck way down the road.
Because it didn't see the truck. It definitely thought it couldn't get through because of that trailer.

You can literally see the truck coming down the hill in the video as soon as it turns onto that road. That trailer is far enough to the side where the car would go around no problem. Miss me with your uniformed pompous takes.

Most likely. I live on a street that can only pass one car in many places and my daily drives usually include similar. I can confirm that FSD absolutely pulls to the side to let people pass and doesn't turn around just for that. It might backup to find a place to pull over occasionally but I've never had it back so the way it before

Idk I’ve seen it do some wild things like slam on the brakes at a green light and people around honked but then a few seconds later out of the corner came an ambulance flying with its lights and siren that no one else saw or heard. I was wildly impressed and was the first time I realized it could react faster than me

I think you're possibly insane. You don't see the truck at all until it backs up behind the white truck. The Tesla isn't magic I can assure you
