miles?
You buy the car you can afford with cash.
30,000
I'm selling a long range for that almost exact price with FSD and lifetime premium connectivity
Oh nice, I wish I could buy it but i definitely don’t have that cash out right.
Are you financing this? At what APR? Do you have the proper charging at home? Don’t buy if you one of those that plan to supercharge only. Check battery degradation since warranty running out in a year or so.
Yes, 5 apr. I do have the proper charging. Okay will check degradation!
Good luck and have fun! 5% is solid for used.
What year & how many miles?
You think it’s worth it? And the battery warranty is 8 years correct? So I have until 2029?
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the 21s known for bad batteries?
It has lithium ion batteries, I heard there good batteries
There are no production years of the model 3 that are known for “bad batteries.” There are failures here and there but they’re rare not specific to any particular year
It’s not a bad deal. Ya true, check what month warranty started. Teslas are not expensive to maintain and drive, but when you have problems/or damage it can get costly. Only you know if you stretching to get a Tesla or it’a very comfortable for your budget.
I’ll sell you my 2021 M3P with 26k miles for $28k 😏
I got my 22’ AWD from Tesla for $21k, so no. But I did get the tax credit, had 50k miles.
I have a 2021 standard range + 3 with 45k miles. The estimated max range on mine is 221 miles. I doubt that listed car still has 267 miles range.
I have a 21 M3, and my wife has a 21 My. Zero problems! But... I paid for FSD and don't know what to do to protect my investment. Trade before March 31st, wait to see what Tesla is going to do with hardware 3 FSD owners or keep my car, which I love and just drive it. FSD on hardware 3 is quite good.
Just because you have cash doesn’t mean it’s worth it.
I wish
Will see on Sunday
Is lifetime connectivity a promotion or something you were able to add on when buying the car?
Considering I just picked up a 2023 for $21k, 20k miles, this isn't the worst deal but there are other solid options out there. Not a bad idea to keep looking considering the market.
Got you!
Hope you get your Tesla, you’re gonna love it!
You think it’s worth it?
[removed]
Why’s that?
For $20k it doesn’t sound bad at all. Only downside is that you don’t have the standard warranty anymore. If there’s any issues with it, it can be pricey. Motors and battery are still covered for a while so that’s nice since those are probably the most expensive parts. I’d pay attention to rattles, seat controls to make sure they work fine, open the glove box as well. I’d say just mess with everything you can. Doors, trunk, frunk and make sure all is working as expected.
I’d get an AWD
Ty so much for what I should look for. Definitely going help on Sunday
Is 1977 going well for you grandpa
You’re very welcome! I hope that helps a bit. I almost forgot, check the type c ports in the center console, make sure they’re working and charging your phone. Good luck!
Do you have advice on the maximum mileage to consider when buying a used M3? Of course, as low as possible within my budget, but is there a threshold where it's not even worth considering?
Can you please PM me info ASAP. Thanks.
What happens on March 31?
End of fsd transfer to a new Tesla
Yes it's one of the early 2018's, which came with lifetime premium connectivity. I also have an early Cybertruck which also has it.
There's virtually no way it has that much range left.
Please make sure it charges fully at a supercharger first. Make sure it's not a salvaged title.
No get the long range🤣
Just trade it bro and do free FSD transfer if you still can..?
If you’re financing you should definitely check out carmax. I searched for weeks for my 2023 model Y LR with Hardware 4 with no results and I ended up checking carmax and I found one within a few days. It seems like you’re not trying to spend that much but I just found this within 5 seconds of going onto their website. My shipping was literally only $99. https://preview.redd.it/un1xe41acvlg1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=29452323c1d5b0910de465a473da40e9c08d6f90
How can I make sure it’s clean title? Other than looking at the car fax?
How many miles would be bad if it had left?
Different driving conditions yield different ranges. I'd expect this car to be in the 200-220 real world mile range on average.
No.
Why
How bout where it never snows, and I drive only 15 miles a day
Too old, old computer, out of warranty, unknown history.
I mean 2021 not that old and hardware 3 still good, still had active 8 year warranty and it’s clean title and other things from the car fax
seems like you have decided.
I do think this is the one and I just want a proper opinion on financing
But Sunday I’m test driving and will check it out fully
Doesn’t seem like a great deal to me.
Why’s that?
the LR is AWD.
A little older and what’s the mileage?
30,000
Not bad. Don’t listen to me. Other people will have better advice. I’m new to Tesla.
recurrent.com will show battery condition/rating with vin#
This will work! Also, so would a 2017 Nissan leaf. But that would not be nearly as fun.
Ah yes…I remember buying a used 2005 civic cash and then spending hundreds of dollars every couple of months for a few years fixing something …until I realized all the money spent in repairs I could have used to just finance a new car.
Might as well look at long range cars
Find a ‘23 for a comparable price an EV that’s been sitting that long is bound to have major problems and you find a ‘23 for about the same price and probably right under that 50k miles as well
What does that mean?
It means that if you have Tesla 1 with FSD and you buy Tesla 2 and want to sell Tesla 1, you can transfer the FSD to Tesla 2 instead of buying the 8K FSD buyout (not after early February anymore). But after March 31, you cannot do the transfer and have to just subscribe monthly
