I got a rental/loaner for a week when my M3 was getting a new trunk lid due to an accident.
They had my car finished in 3 days but a holiday let me keep the Rental/Loaner for a couple extra days + the weekend.
Not sure it this answer your question fully as my situation is different than yours.

I guess my case is unique because the car wasn’t with me when the mishap happened, I already have Tesla insurance, do you think they could help out with this?

I had an S and Cybertruck for almost 2 weeks for 2 different service issues that needed parts and were on back order.

Not sure if this issue should go through insurance at all.. it wasn’t your car legally when the damage occurred?

I already paid in full and was just waiting on delivery….but I guess I don’t legally own the car until I sign final documents upon delivery yeah?

I hope you are rejecting that car and not letting them fix it.

Completely false. That said, I have no idea how new car deliveries work…
All I know is that if I take my car in for service, they usually give me a loaner (assuming one is available), and I get to keep it for however long the service takes. (Which yes, has been more than 24 hours. I believe my most recent appointment took about 48 hours for them to complete, though I had the loaner for about 53 hours by the time I actually picked my car up)

What department do you think I should reach out to? I’ve been in contact with sales and services, no one’s been able to help me

How can you get a loaner if you haven’t taken delivery yet?

Tesla does not give "loaners" to people who do not have a Tesla vehicle in their service dept.
But no, they can give cars for more than 24 hours, even demos.

The delivery team claims that it's illegal for them to give out loaners after 24 hours? That's hilarious. I've had loaners well beyond 24 hours. Tesla warranty issues and my car had to go back twice.

It would really be a test drive more then anything since you dont actually own the vehicle yet. Doesnt surprise me that they only want to do 24 hours.

My SC doesn’t even know what “loaner” means.

Tell them you want a car to test drive until you get your car.
