Potential next mcu4 upgrade for unreal engine

phantomchess | 2026-02-25 20:48 | 9 views

https://gpuopen.com/learn/driving-future-frictionless-automotive-hmi/ I think the P132a or a variant of it will be the next MCU4 upgrade. People said they saw unreal engine code in the Tesla update so this processor is designed to run it. Looking forward to next year when AI5 and Mcu4 allows for incredible fsd and unreal engine visulations. Also has built in AI engine for local llms.

UE-based 3D is already running on the current Model S/X, which have MCU3. I don't think this is relevant. New hardware isn't needed to run UE. Certainly not this specific hardware.

The S and X have a discreet gpu. But it's not running Unreal yet. It was just found in the code.

Maybe they have an unreal traffic / driving simulation system for internal development/testing?

unreal is absolutely being ran as of the 2025 holiday update for non-2026 refresh models.

UE is 100% being used in 2021+ refreshed model s. How I know? Cuz I own one.
