Steering wheel degraded

Hey. 2023 MYLR here. I like this car. I drive a ton, I’m at 120k already and it’s been great to me. Question: steering wheel cover is stretching and it’s driving me nuts. For sure it’s where I place my hand when I drive, but I expect it not to stretch/fail. See attached image. Do y’all think this is something Tesla will warranty or am I gonna be out cash?

looks like normal wear and tear. one thing i don't like about the vegan leather. the wear and tear gets exacerbated by chemicals like hand lotion, sanitizer, oils.

At 120k miles, this is pretty minimal, to be honest. I've seen plenty of 50k+ mile cars that have far worse wear on the wheels.

Dang. Thanks. Idk why it drives me so nuts but it does. Appreciate the reply.

It'll start peeling - common problem. You'll need to take it to a upholstery shop (most economical, they stitch on new leather), have tesla replace the steering wheel (\~$800) or diy replace with one of the Chinese ebay specials (\~$300).
