Why would place an order to buy another car when you still owe money on the car you currently own? If you want the cybertruck badly, you should sell now as it will depretiate further.

just cancel the cybertruck and get your finances in order.

yeah sell now and figure it out, but what you said doesn’t apply across the board… you can owe 20k and your car is worth 30k, that’s a 10k downpayment.
op should sell their car private, depending on mileage you may be able to sell it for like 42k

How much are you trying to get for it? How many miles does it have?

Check the Tesla trade in option, carmax will give you an estimate with photos online if you want to move it quickly. Your best bet to get most of that 40k is selling it privately. Good luck and congrats on the cyber truck

We sold our Model 3 to Carvana and got a decent price and it took less than five minutes.

Get an offer from Carvana. Tesla two but there’s is gonna be low, but if you factor it in the sales tax, it might make sense. Then post private for a few thousand more and you might get lucky.

no that shouldn't amaze you. Whats amazing is doing that and then thinking yelling to strangers on Reddit is going to fix it?
OP you are welcome to gift the car to me and we will take care of it and love it.

live within your means and don't buy the cybertruck. Easy answer. Why are you doing this?

It will probably only sell for 30k lol
You should cancel your cybertrunk order

If the prices are too high for you now then youll be shocked when you find out how much the cybertruck will depreciate

If you want to buy a different car every year, you should be sticking to used cars bought private party, just slightly under their market value
If you want a brand new car every few years, you should lease
Buying a highly depreciating asset like a brand new EV one year, then rolling that negative equity into another brand new EV the next year is insanity. It would be crazy if it was an ICE vehicle, but EVs depreciate at a much higher rate.

Carvana/CarMax might be able to make it a wash for your car, of course based on the mileage it has.

Junipers great bro but if u really want the cybertruck then best bet is to do quotes from carvana/carmax and sell it somewhere else like a dealer. I think tesla evaluates trade ins low even though its a tesla. U can compare prices

I was in a similar boat, where I still owed 28k on my M3 and needed a new car for myself. It took some thinking and advice, but I decided to pay off the M3 first then start a new load with the remainder instead of using it all for a big down payment on the MY. Saves lots of interest money and the monthly on the MY is lower than our M3 was.

23 Model 3 Performance with 29K miles. Needed tires but otherwise in good shape. Got $28.5K. CarMax offered $27K. Great car. We just live in a city and barely use the one car. Def didn’t need two.

Practice restraint my friend!
Don't fall into the trap of getting a new vehicle to impress others or just cuz it's new. Even if you genuinely enjoy the experience of driving a certain type of vehicle, you need to have some patience and self control in order to progress in life.
I want a Ferrari but I'm not going to sell my car now to go buy a car I cannot afford. I'm not saying you can't afford the Cybertruck because I don't know your financial situation, but I can say you should at least wait until your current car is paid off, or you have positive equity in the car before trading it in.
Also, in my opinion, being able to buy something is not the same as being able to truly afford something. I can buy a car and make monthly payments of $3,000, but I cannot "afford" to do that, as it will result in me neglecting other parts of my life.
Considering the Model Y Juniper isn't even 2 years old, it's best to wait, pay it off, and then roll the remaining equity into your "upgrade" vehicle. There will always be another new car or truck that you'll want, but you've got to practice restraint.

I’ll give you $5k for the Juniper. Then you’ll just owe $35k.
In October you’ll be posting just bought a Cyber truck that I owe $60k on and need to sell because it didn’t fit in my garage. Would like to buy a Model Y Juniper, what should I do?

Look up Dave Ramsey and don't buy a new car unless you can afford to pay cash
