An open capsule of boiling water next to you while car is in motion? Recommend you also turn on cabin recorder so you can become internet famous on Cautionary Tales genre subs. 🤦 Just get a bigger sippy cup. Or at least one of those insulated jugs, they do a very good job maintaining temp. PS If this actually for Tesla camping use, carry on. There’s a ton of options out there.

Get a bigger cup…

WalkingHorse 2026-02-24 15:16

Carry more than one cup. My husband has an hour drive in the morning. He heads out with four large insulated tumblers.

ZealousidealBuddy975 2026-02-24 15:18

so your husband drinks like 2 liters of coffee in the morning jesus 😂

Honghauth Portable Coffee Maker Espresso Machine for Camping Travel Nano Home Office Gym Car Coffee Maker, Self Heating & USB-C Rechargable

WalkingHorse 2026-02-24 15:19

Yup! Knows every nice bathroom stop along the way to town. 🤣

NoBet8483 2026-02-24 15:24

Or is using the empty cups.

Armaced 2026-02-24 15:27

You can stop and get more coffee. Look, I know this is going to sound weird, but I swear the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had on the road is from Taco Bell. They aren’t doing anything special like McDonald’s with their “McCafé” or whatever Starbucks is doing - it’s just coffee, but every time I get one and take a drink it just hits perfectly.

Artemus_Hackwell 2026-02-24 15:28

Have Grok route you to a coffee stand near usual route. Or make a Thermos-full

WalkingHorse 2026-02-24 15:28

Ha! Don't think so. I'm sure he's come close a few times though. To be accurate. One tumbler has coffee. One tumbler has some sort of weird herbal tea blend. One tumbler has home brewed iced tea and finally one is plane ol' ice water. Boy stays hydrated! :)

LLuerker 2026-02-24 15:29

I run out of coffee without traffic anyway because the car drives like an 80 year old would. Still neat tho

LLuerker 2026-02-24 15:30

I didn't even know Taco Bell served coffee lol. I'll remember this

czyzczyz 2026-02-24 15:51

I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Hertella Auto Kaffeemachine.

hoppeeness 2026-02-24 15:55

Why not use usb-c?

Thermos makes great products that keep things warm

Taylooor 2026-02-24 16:22

There’s this thing called a thermos

Otto_the_Autopilot 2026-02-24 16:23

I love all the serious responses to your joke.

sherlocknoir 2026-02-24 16:27

Bring two coffee mugs along for the trip. The car has 6 cup holders. Use them.

Tradetheday2093 2026-02-24 16:29

Panera Sips club. Thank me later

Mannix-Da-DaftPooch 2026-02-24 16:40

What?? Like at anytime? Or just in the morning? I had NO idea they served coffee. Now I’m… intrigued in a weird way. I’m not expecting anything good but I’m also like what if it is good?

McRedditz 2026-02-24 16:51

100% relatable. Just like by the time the movie starts, I've already finished all my food.

GetRektDork 2026-02-24 16:51

Nobody washes their underwear at home anymore?

I love this meme

Armaced 2026-02-24 17:25

Yeah, any time. I once ordered it in the afternoon and it was cold, which was not good, but the first time I ordered it was in the evening in December (I was waiting for a Christmas parade to start) and it was perfect.

Matterbox 2026-02-24 17:35

Flask.

teebee9320 2026-02-24 18:24

I believe Makita makes a battery powered cordless one.

ObeseSnake 2026-02-24 18:30

I’m appalled that I know what this means.

MrSourBalls 2026-02-24 18:37

Get an ecoflow or anker powerstation with an outlet and just use a regular compact coffee maker :D

THATS_LEGIT_BRO 2026-02-24 18:49

I have a Conqueco. Love my portable espresso maker.

Artemus_Hackwell 2026-02-24 20:16

Googulate a route and export to app then to vehicle

dalethomas81 2026-02-24 20:44

Haha

dalethomas81 2026-02-24 20:45

Truth

LoveleeChill 2026-02-25 00:42

Indeed a true 1st world problem

CR8VJUC 2026-02-25 01:02

Yes, the promise of an eventual fully-automatous vehicle for $10,000… that will never be fulfilled. Truly, a first world problem but still a huge rip-off.

Inevitable-Copy3619 2026-02-25 02:23

The. I’ll have to pee before we get there.

Inevitable-Copy3619 2026-02-25 02:25

I’ve got a little gas powered personal cooker for camping. It’s got a French press feature.  Turn on the gas, boil the water in the center console, dump in the grounds, press and wait 3 minutes. Safety?

phantasybm 2026-02-25 03:58

That’s what the big cup is for

Ok_Individual4716 2026-02-25 05:12

2010 called, they want their Impact font back

FLawless______ 2026-02-25 07:58

🤣

InstantMartian84 2026-02-25 12:07

I am a huge coffee lover and avid traveler. We also camp often (in the Tesla these days). I have never seen one of these, but it looks like the perfect upgrade to my travel electric kettle and single-serve French press. Thanks to you and the commenter above for sharing!

THATS_LEGIT_BRO 2026-02-25 12:38

It's a good travel companion! It uses the older nespresso capsules so no need to carry loose grounds. But a full charge is only good for (4) 80ml espressos, so I would charge it daily. If you have a external hot water source (kettle), it could be good for 50+ drinks because it doesn't have to heat the water. Another brand to check out -- [Outin](https://outin.com/). A friend of mine has this and also very happy with it.

InstantMartian84 2026-02-25 12:49

Oh, awesome. Thanks for the additional recommendation! This looks to be about the size of my little French press, so traveling with both this and the kettle wouldn't take up any more space. I'm the kind of person who can fly somewhere for a week with only a backpack that still includes my coffee supplies, because priorities. The capsule thing is nice, too, because it would save me from carrying around a little container of grounds, plus grounds disposal/cleaning sounds a bit simpler. I have long considered an aeropress, but I really like the idea of this better. A portable espresso machine is going to be my newest travel/camping purchase, for sure. I love learning about the most random things in completely unrelated subs!

dnlien 2026-02-25 19:13

You have a full plug. Who needs 12v?

Malacasts 2026-02-25 23:38

Unless you live in LA or the bay where 10 miles is still 1-2 hrs

Zero4910 2026-02-25 23:58

You don’t need a new commute then. If you ask me, you need to move the hell away from there.

Malacasts 2026-02-25 23:59

True, but money!
