Need New Tires -

carloo90210 | 2026-02-24 03:43 | 10 views

Hello All I have a 2024 Model Y and will need to get new tires soon. Currently I have the Good Year Eagle F1 -255 40R 20 and I’d like to stick with the same size. Open to different brand of they are more affordable and better over all tires with better performance, quieter. Here looking for other options that works for other Model Y owners. Thank you in advance.

I put Goodyear ElectricDrive2s on my Model 3 LR my MS Plaid. They are extremely quiet. They’re still quite new and have a tendency to “tramline” or slightly catch in roadway grooves, which can be unnerving. I’m told this will fade as the tires get broken in. Otherwise, these super quiet tires are delightful..

I have a model 3 ‘22 with 86.027km (~53.500 miles) with original tires (Hankook Ventus S1 evo3) and they are still in good shape and should last several thousands more miles (not too much but maybe until 60.000 miles).

The jump from the Goodyear F1s to something quieter is huge. A lot of Y owners I know switched to Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 or Pirelli Scorpion Zero AS+ in 255/40R20 and said the cabin noise dropped a ton. Both handle the Y’s weight really well without feeling mushy. Since you're planning to buy I suggest comparing online before you do so cause when I replaced mine, every local place wanted $290 to $330 per tire almost getting me robbed. Just in time though someone in a Tesla Discord told me to check Discounted Wheel Warehouse and they had the same size around $215 to $245, which beat Tire Rack and Costco by a decent margin.

Continental DWS06+ or Hankook Ion Evo

Any suggestions for something for a model 3 that can handle new england snow? Crossclimate?

these are basically the Michelin version of the ion evo except these routinely have the internal foam come unglued and cause havoc on balance until you realize and have it removed. It happens fairly often which is very unfortunate otherwise these would rank higher than the hankooks in my own experience.
