Tesla Dominates 2026 JD Power EV Ownership Satisfaction Study

I wonder how much Elon pays for this! Not the best or even second best EV. But Elon has a huge megaphone.

It’s very easy to argue that Model 3/Y give the best ownership experience, especially when value is considered. Consumer Reports ranks them as the most reliable EVs in their classes, and Model 3 most reliable of all EVs. They’re also relatively affordable, have exceptional infrastructure compatibility (can easily charge in a single spot and hit their max rates on the best charging network without an adapter), often win over other vehicles in their classes for total trip time (despite not having the fastest charging by kW), software and navigation are top tier (perhaps alone), the list goes on. It would be much harder to argue that they don’t offer great ownership experience compared to other EVs.

Less so with no autopilot now, but even so..

I still can't believe I have a 2025 model 3 RWD for 299/month and it was just 1000 in fees the day of delivery. I had been looking for cars for six months at the time.. I just needed a car, anything, 10,000 or so miles a year.. it's basically 5000 a year to lease this car and it has incredible features compared to ANY other car I was looking at then (may 2025).. forget about no other car having FSD, just the features alone blow anything else I was looking at out of the water. Also, it is cheaper by 1000's a year vs the other brands I was looking at (Kia, Honda, Toyota, Ford).

JD Power is as credible as a drunk circus chimp.

What’s the best EV in your opinion? Not asking to argue, I am just wondering.

Mercedes and Hyundai both have solid products.
