Hey everyone, I was out in the Everglades today in my Cybertruck and I was wondering, how is the Tesla internet connection so good? None of our phones even had SOS signal and yet my truck had music streaming, Grok, and even Netflix. How is this possible?
Starlink maybe?
Tesla uses AT&T LTE for internet connectivity.
Probably a big antenna and power supply helps over a tiny phone.
Man I live in Texas the home of AT&T and my model y just buffers constantly.
I think this says more about your provider than Tesla or the Cybertruck, or maybe the phone? We fished and explored the Everglades for years when we lived down there and never noticed an issue, Android for myself and iOS for the wife, both with AT&T
Good carrier contract and about 10 IPhones worth of antennas.

The antennas are in the mirrors. Having a large antenna separation really helps with reception.
Well the Google says they use ATT 4G/LTE

yeah nothing to do with Tesla there, just that AT&T has good LTE reception in the area. where I live their service is ass so my car is constantly buffering (or stops steaming altogether), while my phone is getting serviced just fine in a different carrier.
i was in the Everglades last year and using a portable modem/router from your preferred carrier with a custom antenna allowed me to have LTE connection for my devices. was only 1-4mb upload but worked when i was there for a few days. and yes, having the Tesla connection allowed me to still be connected to enjoy the night with car entertainment
