Car moving backwards after lifting off from the accelerator (while pointed "down hill" a ramp)

Here's the video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnFRqxCGYsc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnFRqxCGYsc) Watch how I move forward to give the bicyclist more space on the sidewalk first and then when I let go of the accelerator, it backs up a bit almost hitting the bicyclist before I hit the brakes. To be clear: the car is moving backwards \_uphill\_ in this video when my foot lifts off the accelerator. FSD nor Autopilot were on. Was in drive gear the entire time. Here's the SEI telemetry charted and annotated: [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wqmunIZ57\_oQoC5m6MWHte8Jl8smHgI3/view?usp=drive\_link](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wqmunIZ57_oQoC5m6MWHte8Jl8smHgI3/view?usp=drive_link) Has anyone else experienced this before? The car is a 2025 Model 3 LR AWD (software version 2025.45.9.1) and there are no settings to change for the regen behavior unlike older models (its always on hold mode).

Mine has been doing this for about a year. I have it set to hold and now it’ll roll back a noticeable amount.

So this is normal/expected behavior then or are you also planning on getting it checked out? Like I would think its normal if I were uphill and it rolls backwards a bit, but in this situation I'm pointed downhill and its going back uphill.

Nah, isn’t worth my time. If you’re is rolling UP hill that’s a problem lol.

Right, that's exactly why I posted this, its very strange that its moving backwards uphill

I bet it isn't as level or inclined as you think where your wheels stopped at. There is a driveway that I go out of every time I use my car and the car will roll backwards even though the nose is pointed down. This happens because both the front and rear axles are on individually backward facing slopes.

That's definitely a possibility. I'll visit again after the blizzard (although the ground is probably going to be a bit messed up from the storm)
