Which brake pad brand do you guys buy?

ExodiusLore | 2026-02-18 14:28 | 11 views

I have a 2022 TM3P and Tesla is quoting me 1.2k to change brake pads for front and rear. That is ridiculous, anyone know where I can buy Brake pads from a trusted cite that are compatible with Tesla?

Please tell me you track your car. If not why are you running through brake pads so fast?? 😂

I’d like to know this too 😆😆 I hope you have at least 150k miles clocked lol

I’m over 125K and still on factory original pads on my 2018 LR M3 Edit: Don’t even think I’m close to needing them replaced.

The brakes on our cars aren’t anything special. Pad replacement is an easy job.

rockauto has a million varieties for $40 per set, but they're more likely to rot off than wear out

Honestly, if you have to come here to ask which pads from a trusted "cite" are "compatible" with your Tesla, then you kind of deserve to pay the $1.2k quoted.

Is this for pads alone? Do you drive in salty conditions?

Lmao, I didn't - until FSD. Thing brakes way harder than regen for sure.

Changing brake pads is an easy job with some basic tools that'll cost a fraction of that quoted price to buy. This might be a great opportunity to challenge yourself and learn something new to save a few bucks. I'm mostly curious why you need new brake pads if it's only a street driven car.

It’s a performance. It’s being tracked. Whether that track is a closed track or a road shared with the rest of us is anyone’s guess ;)

Changing the brake pads in a 2022? That’s what I would expect from an ice vehicle, not a Tesla that barely ever uses brakes.

Right! I press my brakes maybe 5-6 times a week.
