Is it possible to get a previous smokers car that reeks or full of swirl marks from auto car washes? Has it happened to anyone? looking at ones in other states and would hate to fly there and get screwed.

There's a non 0 chance that it could have been smoked in, and you're likely not going to get an answer unless you go look at it unfortunately.

Never bought a car before? Of course it’s a possibility, it’s not like they refuse cars for trade in because they went through a car wash or smoked in it.

Just sit in it before you sign the paperwork. They will let you inspect the car when its on the lot.

I mean, aren't like 99% of cars full of swirls from car washes? If it bothers you that much buy a polisher. A smoker's car would be a different story. You'd be well within your rights to reject if it stunk like smoke (that should be on Tesla to run an ozone machine or reject a tradein)

Do you have a used car center nearby? You can sometimes visit those centres and someone can show you the one your looking at before you even put down a deposit .. most likely though swirl marks will be on most cars but ones sold by Tesla approved will most likely be the most decent ones as they would mostt likely reject the grade 2 ones and sell them via auction or to third party garages..
