Slow down yourself? What kind of brain dead question is this?

Lexinator-187 2026-01-11 12:59

Mine brakes when I’m on corners and also when cars are slightly to far out on junctions so it’s not about driving too fast

ARDAEFEGRP 2026-01-11 13:06

you good?!?? it slows down so aggressively even though the car in front of me is far away i even decreased the closness level to level 1 it still brakes so aggressively when there is a huge distance

ARDAEFEGRP 2026-01-11 13:07

yes its not like im going full speed

g-nice4liief 2026-01-11 13:24

You should be able to turn off reducing speed when turning. It should be in de ADAS settings.

raizhassan 2026-01-11 13:53

It's braking aggressively BECAUSE you have it on level one distance.

ARDAEFEGRP 2026-01-11 13:54

i set it to level 1 because it braked aggressively on the level 3 when there was a even more distance

Nah man, you'd have to get a CDM BYD. Their global cars SUUUUUCK at autonomous driving. My Tang does the same thing. It's insane. Super uncomfortable for passengers and even for the driver besides being quite unsafe. Same with the ICC. I had to take over last time because my left mirror was literally in the other lane on a mild corner. What I've found works the "better" is setting the distance to the max (4) and praying. Not a lot more to do there.

ARDAEFEGRP 2026-01-11 14:24

youre the only one that gets what i say unlike that "genius" raizhassan guy is there any way to disable that braking feature you know how bad it is

Agree I also dislike most of these "security" features on my Sealion7 and in general disable all that crap. Some settings remain "OFF" while some others need to be turned off at each drive. I stopped using "ICC" and use "ACC" at most. Even with ACC when doing 125km/h on high-way and somebody inserts on my lane like 25m upfront the car slows down to 120 or 115 which I don't like. I then tend to switch to lanes that are empty so its again "clear" in front of me and the car can resume doing 125 as I intended. The distance-setting 1/2/3 do not really seem to do that much, even "1" which is the *Closest* following gap (safest for dense traffic, but shortest margin) is still "mehhh" . I can't find any data on actual distances related to setting 1/2/3 At "1" I would expect the car to kick in when somebody jumps on my lane like 10meters max in front of me. But that is my personal preference.

yes bro we were on highway today with my family and the car braked so agressively when there was a huge distance between the car in front so many times my family got so disturbed is there a way to disable that braking feature

These values represent **the following distance** that the system tries to maintain from the car in front. When you activate ICC or ACC, you can select how close or far you want to follow another vehicle: * **Distance 1** — *Closest* following gap (safest for dense traffic, but shortest margin) * **Distance 2** — *Medium* gap * **Distance 3** — *Largest* gap (more space, slower reactions to speed changes)

ARDAEFEGRP 2026-01-11 14:29

it brakes with the same force on the highest spacing setting isnt there just a cruise control with lane keeping assist that doesnt brake so hard

Ok-Database-4624 2026-01-11 14:31

Not sure, the "breaking feature" is a part of the ICC/ACC I guess. Hence the "adaptive" keyword. I don't think you can disable this so it become a oldskool stupid "Cruise Control" that keeps going & going and requires you to intervene yourself. In the menus there are quite some "safety settings" (front/rear collision stuff etc) but I don't think they relate to cruise-control operation.

ARDAEFEGRP 2026-01-11 14:34

yea i searhced the settings but i still couldnt find it

No, AFAIK there's no way to change the Adaptive Cruise Control into Dumb Cruise Control to avoid the drunk teenager breaking behavior.

ARDAEFEGRP 2026-01-11 16:54

dang thanks

ARDAEFEGRP 2026-01-11 16:54

damn :(

SexyDraenei 2026-01-11 22:51

Braking like that is nothing to do with ACC, unless something sudden happens to warrant it.
