we all hear that byd stop manufacturing model song plus . i was thinking to buy it next July but I'm afraid that spare parts and maintenance will be problems because no new model and support .. is it wise to buy it or shift to new model sealion 06?
It isn't abandoned it's the top seller phev export vehicle. They stop selling it in China in favor of the Sealion 06. BYD treats their domestic market very differently than international one. Customer tastes vary wildly. They understand regions preferences. It's even gonna be built in international factories.

No that is not what he meant. We here in Europe have 8 years warranty so major spare parts must be available for long. That doesn't mean that Seal U (Song Plus) here will be sold next 3 years. But in Europe Seal U DMI was on Position 1 seller with 72.000 units

I check vin numbers for BYD Seal U Dm-i imported in Europe for 2025 and 2026 , 2025 is called Song Plus in China, 2026 is called Sealion 06. So same car with same changes
