Can you share those papers i'm really insterested in seeing it, i find it hard to believe it to be this low. That day alone i had about 450kg of extra load across the whole car.

I wonder if that's because the Touareg has less leg room for the passengers. Whenever people enter my car they always say's it has a lot of leg space regardless of how far back my seat is. I've sitted at the back a couple times and it does feel i'm quite far away from the driver seat. BYD could probably fix it by allowing you to move the backseat forward.

No, Touareg has more leg room but it’s not hybrid so that may affect the space

Yh but from 400 to 800 liters of trunk, that's quite some space.

That's quite low ngl. If you're travelling it's easy to go over that, although i just did some research on it and it seems most vehicles in this category aren't quite far from that number. Tiguan is about 425kg, haval is 420kg, compass is 400kg. So i guess that's not a big deal.

I always compare in this category over here EU VW Tiguan Hybrid or Audi Q5 hybrid, due that the new VAG hybrid has in this models approx 100km EV only just like Seal U DMI, and they almost have same dimensions. However they can take 510-585 (Here it depends on extras)

Are they both measured to the top of the seat? Or floor to roof? From what I have seen BYD is typically to the top of the seat (underside of cargo cover) while others I have seen are to the roof.

It's 425l to the top of the seat on the byd, after that it's kinda hard to still pack stuff as they'll collide with the back window. Floor from roof is 500l tops of usable space.
