New member – assisting BYD owners & buyers

Welcome to the group. I have had my UD M i Since the end of July nad have put 12000 miles on it. I love the car and it drives nicely (90% EV Mode) the only real pain is the awful DAB radio system which doesn't pick up many of the channels. This is obviously a flaw as it was the same when mine went in for its 1st service and i had a courtesy car. Apparently there have beens lots of complaints about the DAB so hopefully a software update will sort it. Also on the only long journey (550 mile round trip) it only managed 39mpg

Hi HELP!!! Im trying to find replacement wiper blades for my BYD Seal U DMI. I have previously tried replacements from Halfords, which didn't fit. Ordered from Amazon, which didn't fit. Have BYD changed or modified the fitment since my car was made in 2025? Or is the only place I can get them BYD? Any help would be great. Cheers. Automotive Industry

The DAB issue does seem to be a common complaint, so fingers crossed a software update sorts that out soon. The long-journey mpg is also useful to know for anyone planning regular motorway trips. A lot of owners have struggled with wiper blade fitment on the Seal some aftermarket ones almost fit but aren’t quite right, which sounds like what you’ve run into with Halfords and Amazon. From owner feedback, the safe bet is to go with genuine BYD blades, because the OEM fitting clips and arm design are a bit specific on the Seal. Some people have found compatible third-party blades that work, but it usually takes trial and error and isn’t guaranteed across years/models. So yes, most of us end up using genuine BYD replacements. If you want, I can share exact part numbers and measurements that other owners have confirmed fit perfectly just let me know your exact model year. Hi My SEAL U Dmi is a 2025 registered, Comfort spec. I'm still looking for front wiper blades. I hope this helps.
