Updated my Seal

This was a long project for me. I wanted to update my wheels for my car. Fortunately for me, I have a partnered factory that makes wheels for my company (we mostly make wheels for performance Hondas such as NSXs, S2000s). I've been wanting to go with a design and even thought of doing a Y spoke design; though I think it was too plain. Someone showed me a Taycan and I immediately thought, wow! I wonder how those wheels would look on my Seal! But I wanted to go extra and make sure the color matched (Shadow Green was a pain to paint match!) After 5 different paint samples, I settled for one and off it went for manufacturing. I went with OEM specs to not go out of the blue and potentially fail vehicle inspection (necessary here in Japan). After one sample finished, I submitted it for JWL and VIA testing. Once passed, I went forward with a full production set. The wheels took a total of one month from start to mounted. 100% forged and powdercoated. Not flow formed. I've shared the design on a BYD Seal Facebook Page and got comments that want the same wheel. Mostly from those in Australia. If you're interested, I'll share with you a link to a shop my company partnered up with to help distribute these wheels that I made for myself to others. But in white and indigo blue (I heard shadow green wasn't available in Aus). If you're elsewhere, send me a PM and I'll see what I can do. But anyway, BYD dealer here in Japan was very surprised with the wheels since it was a complete direct swap. No hub centric rings, no different lug nuts, and center caps matched perfectly. What do you guys think? I'm extremely satisfied with seeing it in person from a design that I thought of during the summer last year.

Very cool, link and an idea of cost would be awesome.

I worked out somewhat of a price if you get it directly (from my company). Send me a DM. I don't want to make this into a FS thread.

That was the goal! I wasn't really a big fan of the OEM wheels. Nor am I a fan of pure aftermarket look. OEM+ was my goal.

Yeah you did a great job ! Looks very slick. The seal is a stunner on it's own. The wheels made it only better IMHO so great job

Looks amazing, do you think a spoiler might increase its sportiness??

I like the way you keep the caliper OEM color. It looks like factory born this way. I think those wheels looks better than on Taycan itself 😜

That looks great. I’d like some for my SL7

Now it looks like a porsche taycan
