Seal U-DMI Comfort Driving Settings

Hi All, Have had my Seal U-DMI Comfort for a few months and am going to be taking a 600 mile trip next week (Combination of City, A-Road, dual carriageway and motorway). Has anybody found much difference to MPG/range when altering the ECO/Comfort mode for motorway/dual carriageway driving? Does the regen braking set between normal and high make much difference to MPG when driving on faster roads? I havent driven the car too much so havent had the chance to experiment with all the different combinations. I don't tend to accelerate hard or drive fast and usually use ACC/ICC when possible. Any advice would be most appreciated. Cheers Autos & Vehicles

Well I had the same thought when I was about to put four hundred miles plus on my car for a recent trip. What did I find? Well firstly I’m still running the vehicle in so following the instructions, as laid out in the owners manual, I kept the settings in eco and varied the speed over the trip. Conclusions! Most of the outward trip was uphill and undertaken on the HEV system so the full charge and the 73 electric mile range evaporated pretty quickly despite frugal use of the accelerator pedal and being in HEV and Eco. However by the time I hit the dreaded M25, and the inevitable traffic, the regenerative abilities kicked in and miles began to go back into the system. By the return journey I was going downhill most of the way, I had switched to ‘Normal’ setting and by the end of the journey it was showing 47 miles remaining of EV and according to the dash readout I had done 426 miles and used 4 gallons? This was later proven to be incorrect as when topped up again I was able to get 6.8 gallons in without any problem. You do the maths, but the dash readout was wildly different. I would be interested to hear from others regarding the information display and how they found its accuracy. Or maybe it’s just my computer in my particular car.
