I got it this morning too. Was about to post about it. Have you worked out to set up different profiles with seat memory yet?

Uses your BYD app to login, I’m assuming each time each user logins in on the system then it updates preferences to that person e.g. light colour, theme and seat position with 3 preferences saved

Really? I thought I’d read something about it changes the car profile/set up based on the cloud key used to unlock the car. Surely it’s not as cumbersome as logging out and in using the app/qr code each time.

I have no idea, I’m just assuming I haven’t tried it as of yet. What are you saying would make much more sense

The update is already available since December. Why was it just offered to know?

Only popped on my Seal U today here in UK

This is normal. In some regions updates arrive earlier, in others later. And by the way, I might surprise you. My BYD doesn’t have an account system at all. I only learned about it from this thread. This really shows how the same car can differ across regions.

shame aussie sealion 6 dmi same car as you havent gotten this yet, last update was v 1.3 in like june last year, byd leaving us sealioners behind, had to usb install this update

I thought so, even almost 2 month delay

Searched for new software for a couple of days now, only yesterday it came up as new version available. Immediately installed. I like to do that on iOS, so Chinese car also… I’ve had very weird issues after that update, like ADAP system limited warning coming and going all the time, and main screen was freezing. Did a full reset, it resolved those issues but it was a bit scary for a while.

So I’ve tried it out now. Indeed, using my phones digital key (not Apple Watch annoyingly) automatically sets my profile, so the seats, wing mirrors and ambient lights all changed to my settings.
