Screen stops Radio/DAB/Media

I picked up my Seal U DM-i Comfort just under a month ago and have been very happy. Earlier this week (the hot Tuesday) I found that my DAB/Radio/Media would just stop and I would have to return to the main screen and press the Play button again to start it. Usually it would happen every 20-60 seconds until I switch the car off and on (haven't found a way to just restart the screen. It doesn't seem to be related to screen cleanliness but has since Tuesday happened 3 times, not just when it is warm. Has anybody experienced this? Seems like the touch sensitivity of the screen is too high but I haven't found a way to reduce it.. Thanks. Autos & Vehicles

I’ve noticed with mine that it only happens with certain radio stations , while others work perfectly and never drop, so I'm guessing it something to do with the individual station app's rather than the DAB unit itself, if BYD create the station apps hopefully it will be fixed, if they are produced by the radio stations , it’s anyone’s guess. Obviously, I’m not an expert so I may be talking absolute rubbish. But it definitely only effects certain stations (greatest hits east midlands in my case)

Thanks.. it seemed to happen independently of the station (Radio2, Virgin, Virgin Legends). If I had signal issues then I would get the expected bits of empty moments. But it was also happening playing media from a USB stick...

Not sure about the Seal U, but in the Seal, you can restart the infotainment system (the screen), by holding down the volume button (on the center console; not the steering wheel) for 5 or so seconds. That forces a restart. You can even do that while driving (the drivers display also goes into a simple mode while rebooting). This is a good thing to do periodically, to clear out any glitches (in the same way that it’s good to periodically restart your phone, tablet, computer etc). I’m not saying that this will fix you DAB issue, but it won’t do any harm, and may help…

I've got an issue with the DAB broadcasts on my seal. I think it's to do with reception , initially it only happened with some DAB Channel frequencies however it happens on all of them now. When listening to DAB if you press the brake pedal it kills the channel this happens when stationery or driving
