External noise on turning on & off

I personally don't own a Seal U, but with the limited information it's very hard to provide any opinions or advice. If you can provide a recording of sounds or provide more description of the type of noise, when and from roughly which part of the car. I previously had a Lexus Hybrid, that car made some clicking sounds on start up and after the car is switched off. Some are quite loud and can be heard inside the car. Of course the BYD is a completely different car so you can't reliably compare. Since the car is new and you have concerns, you could run by the dealer you purchased the car from for peace of mind.

Like as if a small fan is running? I noticed a noise the other day from mine, after I'd turned everything off, locked up and left a zappi charger plugged in. I didn't think too much of it, just assumed it was normal and walked away. Had forgotten about it until you mentioned noises. I assumed it was some sort of automatic cooling fan controlled by an ECU somewhere. Sorry I've got no answers other than to nod along.. mind you, it wasn't a short noise, it carried on going for a good 30 seconds or so before I just wandered off. It might have shut down the second I turned my back, or carried on for hours for all I know.

If a charger (with power) is connected, then if the car thinks that the battery needs heating or cooling, it will proceed to use power from the charger, even if the cars charge schedule isn’t set to start for hours. I don’t like this, as it can consume a few kWh doing this heating/cooling. If a charger is connected, but is not powered (the charger schedule isn’t set to be on yet), then the car won’t (can’t) use power from the charger, and it won’t use power from it’s own battery. So I think it’s better to rely on a chargers schedule rather than the cars schedule if possible. Not sure if this is the noise the original poster was asking about but…..
