BYD Seal owners: Do you experience vibration / shudder during acceleration at 100–120 km/h?
I own a Seal in Turkey and I’d like to check whether this is a **region-specific issue** or something **other Seal owners globally** have experienced as well. # Vehicle details: * **Model:** BYD Seal RWD (Design) * **Battery:** 61.44 kWh * **Official power (Turkey):** 160 kW * **Real-world output:** feels closer to \~170–180 kW (0–100 km/h measured \~6.5 s, faster than the official 6.9 s) * **Drivetrain:** RWD, single-speed EV During **hard acceleration between 100–120 km/h**, the car sometimes shows a **brief vibration / shudder / hesitation** lasting about **2–3 seconds**. Important observations: * It happens **only in this speed range** * It is **more noticeable when the battery and drivetrain are cold** * When the battery is warm, the effect is **reduced** * No warning lights, no fault codes * Service centers have not resolved it yet (no effective OTA or module update so far) Outside this range: * Below 100 km/h → smooth * Above 120–130 km/h → smooth In Turkey, the Seal is sold as **160 kW for tax reasons**, but the hardware seems capable of more. This feels like a **software power limit applied to stronger hardware**, possibly causing instability during the **torque-to-constant-power transition** at highway speeds—especially when the battery is cold. # Questions to other owners: * Do you experience anything similar around **100–120 km/h**? * Which country are you in? * What is your Seal’s **official power rating** (e.g. 150 kW / 160 kW / other)? * Does battery temperature affect it for you? * RWD or AWD? I’m trying to understand whether this is: * A **Turkey-only calibration issue** * Or a broader **BYD Seal software behavior** Thanks in advance for sharing your experience 🙏
