BYD Seal U DMi - OTA V1.3.0

Hi No I haven't received any updates. Bought mine on 1st March and only had 1 update since. Is this right, Cheers.

Hi all Pleased to see a post on this V1.3 update. I contacted BYD via the App about the issue of the app showing kilometres instead of miles, in and whilst they attempted to assist me with that issue it brought up the issue of my car not having updated to the latest version (V1.3) which apparently resolves that very problem. They then spent half an hour trying to get an OTA update. That failed and I was told to contact the dealer The service department didn’t have a clue what I was talking about but were eager to book my vehicle in for a service which they were certain would resolve the problem. My car was delivered in April and has, to date, done just four hundred miles so a service isn’t needed, it’s updated at least twice since I took delivery but it won’t download the latest version. I would not worry too much. BYD does not roll out OTA updates at the same time for everyone. It’s a way of mitigating risk should the update cause issues. They do it in small groups over a month or so. Some people will probably receive it this week while others may only receive it at the end of the month. I would just be patient and wait till the end of the month before contacting BYD or your dealership.

Mine says 13.1.33xxxxx - not sure if this is the right place to be looking

It looks like no one in the UK has received the update yet. So, I would just be patient and wait.

Patience is a virtue so they say. It’s not affecting the car, in any way that shows anyway, so I’m not going to rush off to the dealership. I get confused enough with the stuff I know without updates that change everything leaving me feeling like I know nothing and should be keeping it to myself.

Has anyone in the UK received their BYD Seal U update V1.3.0 via OTA yet? Reading on German, French and Austrian forums. People have been getting it in the past few days. Automotive Industry

JUST received the update, 29 June 11.45. The car has confirmed it was successful but I haven't yet used it to see if I notice any changes

29-06-2025 - Okay the last bit of the new update is now in progress, it showed 1 of 7 and so far it’s taken about 20 minutes to get to where I am. Which is 34% downloaded with 15 minutes left. I’m not sure if this is just coincidence or not but I’ll put it out there just in case. I was and had been using the data port USB, the one nearest the driver, but thought perhaps it could be stopping the download? Well I unplugged it and immediately up came the notification of the available download So for anyone who is using that USB and hasn’t had any downloads try unplugging whatever is in it and see what happens.
