UK Seal U DM-i May 2025 Dashcam?

Just wondered if anyone had any info regards the availability of the BYD OEM dashcam for a Seal U DMi delivered in May 2025? Dealer just said "not available in UK", recommended Temu/Ebay/Amazon aftermarket stick-on dashcam. Up till now, a lot of people seem to have had great success purchasing the OEM dashcam unit themselves and fitting it fairly easily, with few problems on commissioning. Does it record all cameras on the vehicle or only the one that's actually part of the unit you retrofit? Some seem to say there is now a problem 2025 on -->; I've heard vague rumblings of "it was killed by an update" and / or "doesn't meet UK regulations" If anyone can provide any clarity on this I'd be most grateful

Lots of people have purchased the OEM dashcam themselves online and fitted with no issues. Just note that you need to get it with the wiring loom as the UK cars don’t come with the wiring like you see on some YouTube videos. I’m running the latest update available OTA and my dashcam still works. Install takes about 30-45 mins. Hardest part was getting hand up into the right space to plug in the wiring loom to the correct plug

Thanks for your reply, thats good to hear. What's the system capable of recording, is it just a front camera or does it link into the car and record side / rear too? I saw one video where it looks like it records info like speed, indicator use etc. also? Does this look like the right purchase for Seal U DM-i Comfort 2025? https://www.topbyd.com/products/byd-att ... 8932186388 (£68 option marked for "Dashcam + Cable") Wonder what effect this has on the vehicle's warranty. My dealer did say he would check into this point for me but I wasn't sure if he quite understood what I was proposing to do. Not sure if he now thinks I'm going to be fitting a completely third party, unrelated to BYD system, seeing as his belief is the OEM system is simply unobtainable in the UK. I'll call him back on the warranty point & clarify, and report back here if he comes up with anything.
