Dynamic v Standard Range

After the latest 1.04 OTA update for my Seal the app now shows miles instead of km When I first load the app it gives me (what I assume is) the standard range or 254 miles (it's 70% charged at the moment) If I pull down the app to refresh it I get (what I assume is) the Dynamic Range of 785 miles! What is this "Dynamic Range" ?????

My app did the same following the update to 1.4.0, showing 785 miles every other refresh. After a couple of days it settled down and now only shows the "actual" miles every time.

Above looks like it was just a glitch. However, to answer your question as to what is dynamic range; Standard simple uses the wltp range (for RWD, that 570km or in miles I think it’s 354). Dynamic range uses previous driving efficiency to give a more realistic range, although it’s unclear what driving history is used (last x km, or last trip or since new driving efficiency). The app only shows standard, but in the car (under energy), you can select Standard or Dynamic. Autos & Vehicles
