Seal Sedan 4x2 High Speed Issues

Nitrogliserin | 2026-01-05 07:59 | 34 views

Why is this so bad? My Volvo XC40 Recharge is limited to 185 km/h, and driving at that speed seems safe. In contrast, Seal floats around the road at high speeds. The suspensions are just too soft. I am unsure of the root reason of this handling issue. Driving at 220-230 kph poses a higher danger.

Problem is not the speeding, dumbass.

Comfort version (small battery) max speed is at 240 and first few reports on the Autobahn seems fine. It's just rare cuz design cost pretty similar in Germany. Would check your tires, if anything is stuck in it. Perhaps balance your wheels. Gone to 190 couple times when I got the car, wind isolation is worse than German cars, and prolly Volvo. Beside that it was perfectly fine. Vibration was pretty strong at 150-160, but got stable again after that.

were you driving on winter tyres or factory summer tyres?

factory summer tire. Rarely goes over 150 with winter one, learned with my old audi how fast these wear off at high speed\^\^

According to the gpt, the issue is related to winter tyres, and starting with some modest side wind has a significant impact on steering to suspension communication. Today I hit 200 kph and it was solid because there was no wind at all.

Guess I'm lucky then, OEM winter tires wasn't available and I got a random one without that issue
