New byd sealion 6 plastic clicking in cabin

Puripuri_Purizuna | 2025-12-31 14:52 | 28 views

Hey! I'm from the Philippines and we just got our sealion 6 last week and loving it so far. How it drives and comfort and how quiet it is in tha cabin. But i've been hearing something like a plastic clicking sound every time i ran over a bump near the driver side door or ceiling. Can't pin point where its coming from.. I'm trying to push on some trim might be a loose clip but no luck. Just want to ask if anyone has encountered this as well and fixed it. Thank you!

Were they able to fix it? Experiencing sort of the same, like knocking sound on the passenger side when driving on uneven roads

Unfortunately not yet. They are asking me to leave my unit for 2-3 days. I have not done it yet.

Oh alright, ive scheduled mine for next week. Doubt its the seatbelt on mine since ive plugged them all in and i still hear the knocking plastic sound

fixed mine a little since i got another creak that isnt the seatbelt. theres still some clicking; somethings loose with the rear sunroof, but i sprayed some silicone spray on all the rubber seals, it significantly reduced the rhythmic thumping. just the ocassional click. still cant find the source, but its definitely the headliner rubbing on something. probably just needs to be pushed in

Did you have it checked also by the casa? I saw on another post that it was one of the strut mounts and needs to be repacked or replaced. Mine sounds like when you use 2 knuckles to knock on a wooden or plastic table and only heard on uneven/bouncy roads.

had it checked, we both agreed it was inside. they blamed the tonneau cover and tried mitigating the issue with rubbing, but it didnt sort it out (got a little tweaked i actually took off the tonneau for good) i tried pushing on the rear headliner, i got it to click in a few places (so it is loose, just made it less…loose..?) and that sorted things out a little but i still had a tick tick tick noise on uneven terrain. tried silicone spray which made the sound less obvious, but still there. part of me wants to believe some clip is off inside, maybe because i go way too fast offroad, but my problem is deff inside the cabin

Ohh might be a diff case then. Still annoying specially since mine is only at 7k+ mileage when it started making the sound. Hopefully they sort it out next week

WE FIGURED IT OUT its the cross beam that divides the front half and the back half of the panoramic roof. it clicks when theres vibrations and very compact sinewaves on the road. all they did was lather the rubber seals with an ungodly amount of silicone spray including the sunroof tracks and the sunshade lines as well. its gone. pure bliss
