Seal U DM-i charging issue

Hello! I'm a happy owner of a BYD Seal U DM-i in Spain since 1,5 months. Until now I always charged the car in AC chargers, but today I tried a DC 50Kwh "quick" charger from spanish company Iberdrola but I couldn't make it work. After the payment process I connected the CSS2 combo plug into the car. The charger showed "checking the isolation" in the screen, and after a while it requested me to remove the plug from the car. I removed it and plugged it again, but the car didn't start the charge. When I plugged the connector in the car I could see a signal indicating a plug detected in the car cockpit, but the charge process didn't start. After serveral tries I gave up. In theory the charge scheduling function doesn't apply to the DC charge. Anyway I checked it was disabled and just to ensure everything was OK I enabled and disabled it. No luck. Is this something normal in this kind of cars with "slow" charge capabilities (in theory it can't charge more than 18kwh) or may my car have an issue in the charge system?

I've had no issue with my car in neighbouring Portugal. In my experience there's no point in paying more for the faster 18Kw. It's sometimes twice the amount of charging at 11

Thank you very much for the feedback. I agree with you, but I wanted to check the DC charge

That wasn't his point. He bought a car 1,5month ago and wanted to test if DC charging works. I did the same 4 days after picking up the car, just to test if it works, not because I need it I also testet VTL, with the plug-extension which was delivered, although I don't need it. I also tested all USB-C plugs, even on all plugged in devices, although I'm just using one in the front. Simple things, I could claim all at once if thinks do not work. After three years, claiming makes tired although the car has 6 years warranty. They might always find a reason saying you broke it. So test every button and function. I also tested the emergency button on top of the mirror. Pressed it, was connected with emergency call of police and said I just purchased the car and wanted to test if the emergency button works. Police said well done, have a nice day

There is no deal, must work straight So just in case the DC charger had an issue try another one as soon as possible and if not, sorry you need to make a dealership visit, claiming warranty. Good luck
