Easy fix (?) to reset TPMS error for Seal Sedan

I changed my tires from summer to winter last week. TPMS got confused along with that the tyre shop also got mixed up the wheels. I identified the mixed wheels and rotated it again. However, the TPMS warning still consisted. I drove over 100km, no relearn at all. Lastly, I stopped at a petrol station. Before I changed the tyre pressure again to trick the TPMS, I switched the tyre dust caps of the mixed wheels and viola! Warning has gone. Sedan Seal has no TPMS reset on the system and so for I didn't experience the relearn phase. So the only solution for me was to take the car to the service for TPMS reset via the tool. **I truly don't know if this is a MYTH but, if you experience the same situation go ahead and try to switch the caps.**

The tyre shop should have a tpms tool, it should take like 5 minutes to reset it.

Are you sure it's the tire caps? I find it hard to believe since I'm pretty sure they're just replaceable plastic pieces. It could very well be the second inflation triggering something, or some coincidental time based thing.

Yeah there's no way an inert piece of plastic that small has *anything* to do with the tyre pressure monitor. This is placebo af

Got a "**LAUNCH X431 CRT5011E V2 TPMS OBD Diagnostic Tool **" for 120€ from Aliexpress. Added the new set of tires myself. (Takes 2mins.) And in the future I'm totally indepentant from tire shops and the device will pay for itself. Besides that, it can do man more OBD2 Wizardry for cars

AFAIK you have to visit the dealer. They did it for me, anyway. For free.
