BYD Seal TPMS sensors

Hey everyone, I’ve got aftermarket wheels for my BYD Seal AWD, but I’m still using the stock wheels because they came with the factory TPMS sensors. I’m planning to buy a second set of TPMS sensors from AliExpress that are listed as compatible with the Seal so I can finally use on the aftermarket wheels. My questions: 1. Can I install new TPMS sensors on the aftermarket wheels and freely swap between both sets (like winter/summer setup)? 2. Does the Seal automatically recognize multiple sets of TPMS sensors? 3. If not, is there an easy / quick way to re-pair the sensors every time I swap wheels? 4. And if a pairing or relearn device is needed, is there an affordable option that actually works with BYD? Anyone here already running two sets of wheels with TPMS on the Seal? How smooth is it? Thanks!

Get them from BYD so they will read when you change wheels.

I'm pretty sure any new sensors need to be paired every single time. Buy legit TPMS sensors, and drive around with the alternate set of wheels and tires. I'm not sure if it's a self relearning system, if it isn't I guess you have to bite the bullet and watch the shop use a device or some special code to Programme them.

I know when the guy was rotating my tyres he said they have to manually use the BYD service tool to change that and it wasn't automatic like some other brands he had done. Guess this would be the case with what you are asking? Don't know if any home tools will have the functionality to do it?

Someone on the Japanese BYD Line group recommended the MUCAR T90 TPMS tool which should work from version 1.35. (I haven't tried this yet myself as my dealer has offered to reprogram them for free so I thought I'd do that the first time.) Be aware that (I also learned this on the BYD Line group) there are two different standards for the frequency with which the sensor talks to the tyres depending which country you're in, so you need to make sure you get the right one. I ordered mine from the dealer to avoid the extra faff.

You could do that (and keep track of which one went in which tyre) but then you have to take the tyre off the wheel twice a year to move the sensor around.

It's very usual in Japan, it's either that or stay home when it snows. I mean you could keep taking the tyres off the same set of wheels but it mostly works out cheaper to buy a spare set of wheels. If you want weird, the real estate agents in my town don't have any real estate. If you need to buy some land you go and talk to the guy at the tyre shop. He knows who might have some land they'd be interested in selling because he talks to everyone in town twice a year.
