I just took delivery of my Seal, and cant seem to find a way to switch on AVAS, the function which plays a sound externally to warn pedestrians. What am I missing? I searched the settings and only this screen shows up. Pressing Play does nothing.
You are in the correct screen! The top menu entry where you can choose "Standard" + "Brand" is the correct one. Standard is a "normal futuristic EV sound" and "Brand" sounds like an Icecream Truck with some Bell sounds.
Thank you! Strange, there are no sounds when the car drives past. Ill try increasing the volume. This is the only page for AVAS? Also, what is the play button supposed to do?
Which country are you from? If you have a car from the EU, this is the only page where you can set something about the "pedestrian warning sound" If you are located elsewhere, it could be, that you also have a shortcut to disable/enable AVAs when swiping from the top of the screen to the bottom. With the Play button it should play the sound.
The Play button gives you a preview of the AVAS sound of how it sounds outside the vehicle. If you have set to Standard then the sound is quite hard to make out, turn your AC off to hear it better. When set to Brand you should here it better, as the jingle it makes is quite noticeable. Note, if you set it to Brand it will also change your indicator sounds to match.
Swipe from the top. Like a phone notification page. There's a toggle for AVAS. Well at least that's where it is on my Atto3.
NOT in the EU. (as it is a legal requirement that you can't turn it off)

Thanks, yeah, i did not realise that I could swipe down from the top for more options. AVAS was diabled there as well!
