Wireless CarPlay not responding

SELKIE24 | 2024-08-02 12:41 | 30 views

Took delivery of my Seal on the 26th of July. Apple CarPlay connected without issue and worked for two days. Then it just stopped working. I have tried everything from hard reset to “forgetting device”. Nothing seems to work including connecting by cable. Has anyone had any problems?

1. I believe Apple Car Play doesn’t work wirelessly in the BYD Seal. 2. To connect using cable you must use the USB A port. 3. I overcome this problem by purchasing a wireless CarPlay adapter. It works well. Autos & Vehicles

Wireless CarPlay does work. I’ve been using it for the last 9 months. Initially it was wired only, but then after an OTA, wireless CarPlay was enabled. It did happen once that wireless didn’t work, but I got it working again as follows: Try turning off WiFi on you phone (which is how CarPlay is transmitted), and then turn it back on again.

Had exactly the same problem with the Seal SUV Hybrid back in April 2025. Ran it via the data cable port (one nearest the driver) for a week or more then Apple did another update which put right the issue their first update caused to numerous makes of cars. Not had any issues with it since and works seamlessly with Apple CarPlay now. I know that’s not an answer but it’s the best I have to offer I’m afraid.
