Aggressive emergency braking

Bantamjones | 2024-06-15 12:12 | 26 views

Hi I live Lincoln England and have had my Seal 5 weeks. Turning off lane assist and traffic int is becoming a routine bore. Now I have experience of the very aggressive emergency stop, when I consider it perfectly OK to move. Are there any ways to turn these systems off permanently or make them less aggressive? There does not seem to be any updates that would improve things.

I have not seen a feature to disable is permanently and I think it may be down to NCAP safety ratings. I have seen videos of people removing fuses or covering the cameras to disable the system but not sure I could recommend those methods!

ADAS ---> Active Safety --> Predictive Collision Warning ---> set to Late Front Cross Traffic Braking --> Off The two above should "reduce" the chance of the car braking too aggressively. Also Automatic Emergency Braking --> Off (only valid for the current ignition cycle) Autos & Vehicles

only way is to pull the fuses for the system under a plastic cover under the bonnet, I saw a video of it recently.

The NCAP rules mean that the safety settings have to reset each time you start a journey. Affects other car makes with NCAP 5 as well. The Polestar (for example) has a system of driver profiles signalled by the key - not sure if this facility can be used to turn safety options off though (can any Polestar owners advise?).
