Ordered a Seal but have no confirmation email of order

It will take 2-4months until you get sent a contract , nothing else will happen until then but you should see the order when you login online.

Yeah that's right after a test drive. But effectively was an online order as the sales guys just entered everything into the iPad.

It's normal and as long as you have the payment receipt, you're fine. It's refundable anyway. I think they're just waiting for a VIN, tied to a car in the colour you want, to be available. If it's shark grey, you might need to wait a bit longer than the others since they're in high demand. Once allocated, they'll send you a contract with the VIN number on it.

Thanks mate. Hopefully its not that long as I was wanting the 4% discount. But I don't see it when I login online and that was my concern, potential he typed the email in wrong or something. But I'll wait for customer service to come back and see what they say.

I also ordered a seal for a novated lease, I got the order confirmation email, then a week or so later it started showing up in the customer portal with my model/ addons etc, and then it just randomly disappeared from there Then about a week after that I got one allocated to me and got sent the contract to send through to the novated lease company. Its a bit weird from a customer standpoint but ive never ordered a brand new car so idk if this is normal lol.

Ordered a Seal through Origin360 subscription 1 July. Ive been told 3 month wait from then :( if anyone is using Origin360, would be keen to hear about your experience so far.

Yeah mine hasn't shown up yet and didn't get the order confirmation email either so I'm going to assume he's put the wrong email in. Hopefully customer service can fix it.

I wouldn't even mind just like a status page I could check every 20 mins that says "awaiting shipment" or "awaiting allocation" lol

Actually I only saw my order online as I did it myself online. After I got my contract with the 4% fleet discount it disappears from online. I am like going to get it a month after signing the contract and 3-4 months after ordering it. I suspect getting the towball might have delayed it as a mate who ordered after is likely getting his at a similar time.

Ordered a Seal in January and got it on the 29th of June, also on a novated lease. It wil take way more than 3 months, the dealer is lying to you if they give you a 3-4 month timeframe.

Holy fuck mate, I ordered mine in mid Feb 2024 and took delivery at the end of that month. I had no idea wait times have become this long.

BYD and customer service don't exactly go together. Brilliant car, but shitty customer service.

Even weirder now, the byd website has changed, and now my account doesn't exist lol

I ordered a Seal in March also on novated lease. My dealer has told me that my car has been allocated and is on the ship, but I havent had anything official from BYD and don't have a date for delivery. My dealer did provide a purchase order for my leasing company when the car was ordered.

I got all of that too. They've sent the invoice etc etc and I've signed a contract, but I cannot find any information as to where the car is. Dealer has told me 'August 15th'....and that's about it. The VIN I've been given shows no results everywhere I search.

I ordered June also on novated lease, signed the contract couple of weeks ago. I got an email from BYD with ETA early August and they sent me a Vicroads form to fill for registration.. also got an email from the affiliated party who will do the paint protection etc with the FAQ on what will happen when I collect the vehicle
