Had mine done in Brisbane by Ricardo’s Detailing, in and out. They also tinted. I’ve REALLY enjoyed washing it since then; it’s a breeze and everything comes up like new.

By any chance are you located in VIC? Looking for something like this for my incoming SL7

Looking great! Our Seal Performance was also protected a few weeks ago (Ceramic Pro 9H). Really happy with how it came out. (Brisbane. Mobile detailer came out to our place.) https://i.imgur.com/0nZ76Rg.jpeg

Congratulations. You are going to love it. I have had my premium seal now for 2 weeks and I am obsessed.

Oh man, the Seal was my pick as well but the SL7 was the smarter choice because of space and also mostly my wife will be driving it…if you dont mind me asking, hows your experience with the app so far? I’ve heard it disconnects and needs refining

Lady_Phoenix_86 2025-06-20 11:33

I test drove the atto 3 and hated it, sat in the seal and I was hooked. The app is good so far, although admittedly I haven't really used it for everything yet. Handy to unlock and start the car and turn it on and heat it up on the chilly mornings. You will have to update me once you get the car. I'd love to hear if you enjoy the BYD as much as I do. I hated driving before, now I find any excuse to go out 🤣

My first experience test driving EVs was with a MG ZS EV, underpowered laggy POS, on top of that the salesman was mostly on his phone during the test drive so couldnt really ask any questions about the car lol… then the Kia EV5 was nice but found the Seal and SL7 of better quality, much better ride as well… will definitely let you know how it goes when we get the car, did you do anything like ceramic coating, windows tinting to your Seal?

Lady_Phoenix_86 2025-06-20 22:20

My test drive of the Atto 3 was a real disappointment. After all the great reviews and research, it just felt gutless and the interior was far too sci-fi for me. I was pretty bummed out. But then, everything changed with the Seal. Back at the showroom, the dealer let me take it for a spin around the lot. I flicked it into sports mode, and that was it....instant love! For me, an EV still needed to look like a normal car, not a spaceship (so many electric cars are just plain ugly). This was my first new car purchase, a bit of a midlife crisis treat, so I wanted something a bit nicer. The Seal perfectly nails that sporty look, and its performance is absolutely impressive. It has more oompah than my Mazda CX9 (V6). Since it's black, the ceramic coating was part of the colour choice (at an additional expense). I didn't upgrade the window tinting as it seemed dark enough already. My only other add-on was front and rear dashcams. I'm also going to grab some fitted floor mats, as they weren't included and the protective coating wrap (given it's black and already showing any minor scratch).

Oh man I saw a black Seal other day and looked slick! Congrats on choosing that colour, it almost irritates me how many people just go for plain white (I know its a bit cheaper though)… hey sorry for all the questions (feel free to stop answering as well 😉) but how do you charge it? I’m thinking about getting a Tesla charger at home but dont really wanna contribute to Elon’s world takeover lol I also drove a CX9 for a while (as well as any of their cars, used to work for them lol) very nice punchy cars but the one I loved the most from their lineup is the Mazda 6, what a car!!!

Hey @christianmoral, I am in a similar situation, love the seal, but sealion seems like a smarter choice(wife's choice) . Can you let me know when did you order or how long did it take to deliver?

christianmoral 2025-06-27 06:12

Hi mate, same… wife’s call lol… we ordered early Apr (first week IIRC) and almost pulled the pin early Jun when I asked the sales guy and he said delivery was looking like July/August, luckily I didnt cancel the order as in the following days we got an email with the contract from them and after signing it we got a call to organise a delivery date which initially was going to be 11th/Jul but then they moved it forward to 2nd/Jul, so next week pick up mate, cant wait!
