Is the 2025 not supplied with one? Earlier models where.

It has a 10a power board supplied. I'm looking for a 15a.

Does it output 15 amps?

Does it do 15A?

I don't think the vehicle puts out 15A

You had one supplied? I didn't in may in NSW.

Nope, BYD Seal V2L in Aus only does 10 amp. It’s the onboard computer that limits you, no matter the adapter you try

My 2024 came with a factory V2L adapter. Was in the storage under the boot floor.

How interesting. My dealership wanted extra for it.

https://bydautomotive.com.au/brochures/BYD-SEAL-2023.pdf
2023 brochure straight off BYD Australia's website. (has 2023/24 wheels and shark grey only for performance, plus file name).
Mentions V2L adapter supplied across all three variants.
Take that in and ask for one for free. Or raise it with BYD Australia directly.

Many thanks for the info. I've written to customer care @ BYD and will see how I go... a bit irritated at the dealer at this point!

They're probably taking them out of the boot and trying to sell them back to you.
Will be interesting to see if BYD Australia have had other complaints about that dealer.

Thanks! I guess we're limited to 2400w then.

Please just remember when buying charging equipment it’s SUUUPER important that you’re only using OEM and/or Australian Safety Standard certified equipment. We have had many EV fires in Australia, but the ones that we’ve had have mostly been either from shitty chargers or the house around it being on fire.
TL;DR don’t cheap out on a charger or V2L cable unless you’ve got working smoke detectors and great home & contents insurance.

Just to add to this - wrote a complaint to BYD today about lack of response, have had one email saying they'd get onto it and nothing. Spent half an hour on hold x 2, requested callbacks, nothing. Complaint today with a deadline to address, else I'll raise a fair trading incident.
Cannot believe how difficult this is proving!

Curious, has anyone managed to get the Seal V2L working via a home generator switch?

Even with a 15a to 10a adapter, the Seal says check device when i plug it into the house.
